A skitarii regiment. Better equipment, armour and backup from titans. What more do you need? Plus those emotion removing bionics to stop me from soiling my underwear whenever I see the enemy.\
Failing that, Elysian Drop Troops. At least they have more strategy than stand in a line and shoot.

As much as it is grimdark the Imperial Guard are an army of poffesional soldiers which are pretty well equipped and usually well led.
I doubt they simply stand in a line and shoot and considering what they're usually up against there could be worse tactics.

Have you read Titanicus? Seriously, being turned into a skitarii is horrible. The tech priests remove half of your body and replace it with ugly bionics, your mouth is replaced by a vox caster (thus preventing you from speaking normally with normal humans), one of your arms is replaced by a lasgun, the other one is fused with a close-combat weapon, etc.
And this is only if you're lucky enough to be a proper field trooper, because you can also be turned into a heavy weapons servitor (your limbs are replaced by arachnid-like legs and big guns) or directly hard-wired to a gun turret for the rest of your life.
Trust me son, don't listen do those weird guys in red robes, and join the Glorious Imperial Guard.

I never thought that Elysians will have so many votes. I fell sorry for Cadians, surviving all that to be second handed by some paratroopers. But I like them to, only the best of the best get to be paratroopers. My friend also like them because they are using LasFAMAS.

Id want to be a Ghost. Plain and simple.
If not a Steel Legionnaire, mechanized infantry get the big guns to turn the enemy into flying bits and pieces

Set up shop and blast 'em to pieces is my favourite strategy.

I guess that's because the cadians are the archetype of the IG regiment. Half of the regiments of the galaxy are inspired of these dudes! Whereas Elysians, they have something unique and special, they're drop-troopers! Between riding a chimera and riding a valkyrie, I choose the flying ride!
In addition, Elysians seem to have the reputation of being more "tactical" than the average guardsman. And, as I said, cadians are a bit too much associated with this "average gardsman" image.

Everyone says Elysians, but they have to survive for a very long time behind enemy lines, scary stuff. I'd have to join the Narmenian Armour I think. So i can sit in the back of a Leman Russ, feel badass, crush public courtyards and think about all the sh*ts i don't give.

It's such a shame that the guys at ForgeWorld decide to let every single Elysian regiment that deploys get pretty much utterly destroyed...
Personally, I'd join the PDF of some system in ultramar, nice, cushy and safe, plus when stuff goes down, the plot armoured ultra men come down to help!

not during the battle of macragge, lol, the entire PDF was devastated. But yes macragge would be the best place to be garrisoned at.

You wouldn't want to borrow the equipment of the Regiment of Scribes. Our tanks only dispense parchment, and our equipment only writes on it!
