Yeah I think I forgot to put it in. I'm at work ATM and can't check my notes but IIRC it causes a flesh wound if you miss the to wound roll by 1 (saves apply)

Is career the only way to gain access to special weapons? For example, I have an antihero leader, is it at all possible for him to use specials?

Currently it's career only. You don't see Batman running around with a flamer do you!
But seriously, sometimes I tinker with a new edition and one of the things I'm adding is a "primaris" skill in each skill group and special weapons would be the primaris skill for Shooting.

I was thinking of giving my Antihero a meltagun until I realized this was not Necromunda and being a leader did not automatically give you access to special weapons. Lots of little things are different from the original games.
Probably find room for a hand flamer on the Batsquig utilitee belt anyways. All sorts of groovy grenades to play with too.
@Lord B- I didn't see any mention of a model's Strength modifying armor saves. Did I miss it, or is that a change from the source games? It would be an interesting change. In the original Necro/Mord/Gork armor is for the most part pretty useless and expensive compared to the weapons that would nullify it.

Indeed, base Strength doesn't modify armour saves. That's what ASM are for.

@Lord Blackfang What's the width of the 6 inch flamer template at it's widest point? I found a print of the old hand flamer template and can make the others myself easy enough. Burn baby burn.
