Hello there!

To go into the original topic... I would like to see starcraft minitures, and a game centred around them (but not the board game that was shown earlier). I'd rather not have GW do it though. To be blatently honest.. since i started buying and painting, along with playing the games i can every now and again with the army i bought, i have to say that i find GW's model style very distasteful. And the games that i've played, i've just found the games to be far too boring, so i'd rather not have them make the game. That's just my opinion on it though, if others like it, then that's great.

I doubt Blizzard would ever look to have a game of this style made though. They're interested in telling the Starcraft story in their PC games and a game of this nature would need updates outside of the PC game release schedule and that would just lead to people not wanting to play the miniture game because of updates, or the fans of starcraft being made upset because things are added to the line up to keep the game current and mess up existing lore.

Onto the topic that rose up during the thread.. I don't see what the point is about arguing all this? Personally, who cares if a number of ideas were taken from Warhammer intially? I feel that Starcraft has carved out it's own unique story by this time. Now, if you don't like the story because you don't like the story, that's one thing, and perfectly fine... but if you don't like the story because of a prejudice formed from the notion that it's stolen things from another make-believe universe, that just strikes me as a little short sighted. Again, just my opinion, but i doubt that pointing out the flaws that you see in starcraft (or warcraft) will change the minds of people that are already interested in either universe.

(odd thing.. i've posted in the forums before, but it only has me as having one post.. is it normal for the count to reset if you haven't been here in a while?)

It's been said, but Blizzard wouldn't go for it. It would alert their massive fan base to the fact that their biggest IP's aren't exactly original or inspired no matter how fun their games may be.
