The Pask-Exterminator is also nice in that it's relatively points-light for a Pask tank.

That thing can be quite scary with S8 (against vehicles) TL BS4 autocannons provided it stays still

It doesn't need to sit still, it can fire on the move. Unlike the Hydra, the Exterminator's autocannons are all one weapon.

You do lose some of Pask's effectiveness if it moves, unfortunately, which is why I never take him, personally. Some people like him, though.

Ah, never caught the part where he has to remain stationary to use Crack Shot. I've never bothered to use him myself. I don't remember the last time I used a Russ, honestly.

I like the concept of the tank, I just don't like how it looks. Too weedy for a main battle tank. I've seen one or two conversion kits for sale that I liked the look of, but they were in the neighborhood of 50 quid a pop.

I do hope some of the spearhead rules get incorporated into the next edition (don't see why not, they encourage squadrons, which encourages buying more models), I may field them more often.

Squadrons would be awesome for heavy tanks if you couldn't kill all of them in CC by being in contact with only 1 model. The day they change that and the stupid immobilized rule I'll run squadrons every battle.

Well, they do need to change the benefit of squadroning to more than just free heavy armor. That doesn't make up for immobilized = destroyed.

It would be neat if the squadron benefit let you ignore shaken results. Then combined with extra armor, you would be able to ignore shaken/stunned (i.e. what Grey Knights get for like 5 points per vehicle). Ignoring 1s and 2s on the damage chart would make up for 4+ being death.

I doubt they will change how allocation works.

That's the idea yeah. 4 TL s8 shots and 3 s6, all at bs4. It takes out a speeding raider like 9 times out of 10, which I've learned to appreciate, even at 200pts. The MC rerolls help too.
