The leader of the Imperial Guard on the planet.

Oh, in the game, I thought you were refering to someone in the Black Library or something.

Mn, still, I really would like to play as her. Perhaps a short scene before the marines arrive... or mopping up the Orks and heretics after they leave.

Anyhow buying Space marine, will wait a bit until at least the first end game/free explore end is available in SKyrim, unlike vanilla New Vegas

I'm pretty sure that game wasn't portraying a Fire Warrior in a realistic manner.

And I don't doubt that really, It doesn't have to be really hard or epic, probably some insurection of guardsmen, nids, It doesn't have to be the formula of Space marine , you can numbers of guardsmen and people dying from each sides

I hate it when people expect things based on a tabletop wargame to be appreciated.
Call of Duty's main audience is 12-18 year olds, as are most FPS games. 12-18 year olds are the ones who think of it as nerdy and won't touch anything related to wargaming, for fear of losing their friends.
That's the main problem, right there.

You can not tell me a game based on setpeices (like say, the skies blackening with Drop Pods as your getting overwelmed by Orks) wouldn't work when told from the perspective of a standard trooper.

Also, Call of Duty swaps between characters, why couldn't this?

It kinda works for Halo: ODST. That's told from the perspective of regular troopers, not Spartans. It could work

ODST's aren't exactly regular troopers, and I don't think they toned down your power enough for that game.

Pay careful attention to the health bar, too. His health is not replenished when he runs away, rather, ti's replenished through accomplishing various feats in combat. I like that.

I think it's a great idea too, it works well in other action titles such as Batman: Arkum Asylum and God of War.

The fact that he even HAS a health bar ( and a shield bar!) gives points to the game to me.

Ridiculously easy game, even on hard. My god. Even the ranking of multiplayer is a bit on the easy side :(

Yeah, ranking up isn't a case of skill, it's a case of perseverance.

You mean just like in every other game with an experience meter?

They don't want to disclude content from sub-par players. So long as these players persevere, they should be able to get their unlocks. What's wrong with that?

Giving the best stuff only to the best players is stupid, and also stupid.

example, those players who have spent (quite literally) thousends upon thousands of hours playing counter strike then go ape squig when someone new joins the game (or even worse calls them hackers or botters when they kill them)

My cousin is one of those guys. Hes a total drunk and does nothing but spend his time playing COD or whatever, and he will piss and moan when someone comes in that beats him. Pretty pathetic. Im not the best player out there, Im pretty decent, but I dont let it get to me when someone beats me, thats the nature of shooter style games, theres always someone thats better then you are

Exactly. I cant tel you how many times Ive cleared out a group of opposing team, killed them, went to go and heal up for another go, and POW taken out by some camper or just some lucky guy
I personally think its pretty epic to die like that. Nearly empty on all ammo, shields gone, health nearly gone, just blew away half a team with a surprise attack, turn a corner and BAM! Bolt pistol to the face
