You seem to have missed the homosexual subtext of Predator.

He's not the only one?!? Are you serious? I mean, if you want to ride down that river, most films can be accused of having a homosexual subtext......ok, well, Brokeback Mountain is kinda obvious.....but I'm talking action movies.

Of course they have! All that male bonding, the handshakes, the manly stares.

The feet on most miniature are probably the last focal point and add to that that they mesh with the tree yes I need more than a chick with a mask with funky feet to say its a preda

Could that also be construed as friendship, comraderie, brotherhood, mutual respect......it's a sad day indeed when all of these things just = gay.

Of course - it's still missing the colours.

It'd be the same with a male Pred.

The lack of armor and trophies is disappointing and makes this model boring because it is so obviously a fanservice piece it should belong back in his privite collection. Hopefully as Chibi postured, maybe it's still WIP. The sculptor definitely has chops, especially if you read that his background wasn't sculpting/art based until 2000.

Past that I wonder if a Predator paintjob could save this miniature if it weren't a WIP

Thanks for restoring my confidence in the British society.. Though I don't know if I will ever give a handshake to a British male again after Kilkrazy's post

Think KK was referring to maley males in Hollywood films rather than us Brits.

Except the public school chaps of course!

I would buy one of these, if:
- in 32 mm scale
- they added fishnet body stocking
- they added grisly trophies

(wolwerine-ish gauntlets instead of a knife would have been nice too).

Really like the female-pred image posted.

Mea culpa. In the future I'll keep it PG-13 rather R.

And that is not the weyrdest things... dont you see how in this film almost all "superior vertebrate" have respiratory opens in the neck/shoulders, and 3 pairs of members? And only the anthropoc equivalent dont have it?

There are five species of mammals which are not placental, for example the Duckbilled Platypus.

Even the Emperor doesn't know exactly what a Platypus is.

I suspect the creature in the photo is an otter wearing a duck mask and flippers for the benefit of tourists.

I think the Duckbilled Platypus is two ducks wearing an otter suit, like a pantomime horse.

Ah yes, for the annual Duck Pantomines. I went to see their production of Aladdin the other year, it was very good. Of course, they called it 'Quack.'

Someone mentioned a green for a female Predator a while back. I was wondering, anyone planning to buy it?
