@Lord of Baal.

I don't wish to sound rude but I seriously think that you and I have different ideas when it comes to what is, and what is not rude. When someone starts a thread, ignores some of the larger and more informative posts, relentlessly asks for purchasing advice, starts throwing around nonsensical stats about money and wealth and IQ values and then tells everyone else to be polite well, I think that's pretty damn inconsiderate don't you?

You say you are quite young and, to be honest, it definitely comes across as such, especially in your posting mannerisms as well as the style, type and volume of threads that you create. My advice to you would be to step back from the 'submit' button for a while and just read. There are *plenty* of excellent tactic articles on Dakka as well as on other forums and sites on the 'net, even more that focus on Blood Angels due to the fact that they are a fairly recent release.

So take a step back, refrain from starting threads about all and sundry, and just read some of the quality content we have on this site. It'll make you a far better player/hobbyist in the long run.

Mate If this was a bar someone would be getting glassed, especially the part where the inconsiderate rude git tells everyone else to "stop being ruuuuddde! I'm allowed to do it but not yooouuuuu!!!" I suppose thats why children aren't allowed into bars...

...hey maybe the bars are onto something here...

THIS though:
Lord of Baal wrote:Thanks for being rude. I am sorta a noob. I just want to get better. And I have a budget so I need to get sufficient points quickly. So money is a tactic as well. Trying to buy units at a sufficient rate without spending too much money you little rich kids. Be great full for what you have, and try too improve Dakka Dakka's community. Isn't it for the better? Not for worse, I hope.

Lord of Baal wrote:No, don't worry, it was mainly to inform the people of Dakka Dakka, you too. On average, 94% of the people who have higher IQs than average, typically have more wealth than others. Do you see where I am going with this? Please be aware some people don't have that much money as others, I am middle class, still get lots of money every day, (about $50.00 a week on average) but I am still great full. 1% of the world owns 40% of the planet yet 30% of the world works off of on average, $2.00 a day. Do you think they know what Warhammer 40k is? Please don't be rash to the community and respect peoples wages. (I'm still a kid though...)

You get $50 per week? 50 US dollars? and you look in your codices for the "competitive" special rule on units? You take the joke of "4 heavy bolters on devs, yeah!" seriously? Either your old enough to get $50 a week and you are not the sharpest knife in the drawer, OR your posting matches your age and you are getting waaaay too much money from your parents, and YOU are fitting that "rich kid" stereotype. Most people into this hobby have jobs kid. We earn our money- daddy ain't giving US $50 a week. So my advice would be don't be rash and start posting up nonsensical stats about money, wealth and IQ values- which you lack, since you do not appear to be "great full" enough to warrant your pocket money kid. Your talking to a bunch of people that spend money on food, rent, utilities, mortgages sometimes families too, THEN warhammer. If I had a spare $100 to scrape together for warhammer I'd be doing backflips.

My favorite bit is where someone posts a well thought, exalt worthy, well written and informative post to answer his questions (Winterman ) and this kid responds "thanks for being rude"

Yeah, I have a Summer to spare, I am earning money for doing work. And I live in an apt. so i'm not that rich. Maybe a little more money at times. I don't know, it varies.

And I take your tactic advice because your older than me and I haven't played the game much. X4 Heavy Bolters can be a use, anything can. You can take out T4 men with lots of upgrades.

To be competitive, go mephiston. he is the strongest, beefiest, cheesiest unit we have. He is a one man wrecking crew and can take on just about anything. Besides taking him, multiple 5 man assault squads with a cheap razorbacks hiding behind a line of AV13 vehicles (Baal Preds and AC/LC Preds) to grant them razorbacks a cover save. AV13 isn't easy to pop, so it is an efficient way to keep your AV11 raorbacks alive. Meanwhile, keep Mephy out of sight hiding behind one of the tanks as a strong counter assault threat. Played the right way by using your tanks to block firing lanes and targeting the right units, it is a very hard army to counter.

If you decide to go DoA, get a lot of assault squads. I'm talking 30-50 marines depending on points. After that solid core is filled, you will need sanguinary priests (2-3), honor guard, and vanguard veterans. IMO, I would stay away from Sanguinary guard unless building an entire army around them (i.e. Dante to unlock them as troops). They are very expensive for a 1 wound model with no invul save. They fall to AP2 firepower just as easy as any other marine. As for the HQ in a DoA army, I would take Librarians taking the Sanguinius Shield power to ensure survivability of your marines the turn the descend.

Both armies are competitive, however mech is a much easier playstyle. DoA is all about knocking one unit down at a time. The have the power to strike when and where they want, and must work together to do so. In DoA, united they stand, divided they fall.

Lord of Baal wrote:Dude, I don't want to use assault termies, I just played Death Wing. Maybe a squad, but is there anything else?

You could use Dante and unlock Sang as troops and still fit in A Terms. That would allow you to use something competitive with something fun.

"AM are bunch of half human-half robot monkeys who keep tech working by punching it with a wrench And their tech is so sophisticated that you could never get it wrapped it out" thing a LITTLE to seriously. It also goes "Tau tech is so awesome I wish I was Tau and not some stupid Human" thing.

Thats a great idea. But what I am mainly concerned about is that elites are good but expensive. And the Sanguinary Guard don't have invulnerable saves.

Half the money I earn goes to my phone and $10 goes to bank account. I also have other things to do than 40k. Maybe lunch money? I get 40k stuff on occasion, likely form family. Necta, people have there ups and downs.
