Skorne one reminds me a lot of the Confrontation Tartarus (is that the right name for it?).

Personally, I think the Everblight one is just awful. Too much lovecraft brewing for Dominion, what with that abomination and the Swamp Octopus that the Minions are getting. I think someone's been watching too much Swamp People whilst drunk on Saki.

The new Circle models all look aces, thats to be sure. I'm so envious, as we Trollkin haven't gotten to see anything yet!

Pictures of the WIP for the plastic Dire Troll kit are floating around, although I think general response in the Troll forum of PPs site was angry whining.

What scale of games are we looking at with these large scale models?

They don't seem to look like they would be in a skirmish or one off, how are these armies looking at these days in terms of point value, and what scale of play do the points run to have just even an "Average" army?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

The Battle Engines seem to average around 9 points or so. I've seen a rather amusing 25 point Khador list fielding 2 Gun Carriages, Vlad, and a couple warjacks.

All of the Warmachine Battle Engines are nine points with the odd exception of the Retribution one, which is ten. They really work well in the skirmish format, adding a nice chunk of force but by no means dominating the game or taking away from the importance of Warjacks.

I tried this at 35 with 2x carraiges, beast, widowmakers, mechaniks and great bears. Once the warjack/bears dies, there's no-one left to do the heavy lifting. The carriages die horribly to any warjack/weapon master charge if you get them stuck in. In the late game - the carraiges can't hurt anything of consequence despite being able to run around fast singing tra-la-la. The list is funny, but ultimately, kind of bad.

I said amusing, not good.
