I don't have any pictures to post, but I do have some fluff written for a couple of Chapters (yes, two, I have entirely too many models):
The Knights of Bone (Dark Angels successors): A highly mobile Chapter dating back to the Third Founding and operating from a fleet, the Knights of Bone are led by Grand Master Sarl, an intensely private man never seen in public outside his armor. Unknown to all but suspected by a few, he has led the Chapter through its entire history; he served alongside the Lion during the final years of the Great Crusade and fought at Caliban. He has remained active so long because of his determination to locate a particular Fallen who calls himself Odysseus (the Sorcerer in charge of my Chaos Marine army); he will not rest until the traitor is brought to justice. He commands the main fleet of the Knights of Bone follows rumors and sightings of the Fallen in the hopes that they may one day stumble across his quarry, but none (even his Captains) suspect that he has a particular goal, he keeps this part to himself.
The Ash Knights (Raven Guard successors): A relatively new Chapter, the Ash Knights are distinguished by their exceptionally unusual decentralized organizational structure. They have no Chapter Master and seldom (if ever) operate as an entire unit; each Company is run by a triumvirate of Captain, Chief Librarian, and Reclusarch. The Captain serves as the nominal head of the Company and its voice on the council of Captains that meet every ten years to deliberate on matters of importance to the entire Chapter, but in practice the Chief Librarian and the Reclusarch together can override his decisions.
This may be a place to make mention of my strange gap-bridging fluff explaining why the 5e Grey Knights are so different from the 3e Grey Knights, which may be strange, bizarre, and extreme in its deviation from the current canon but made too much sense for me to not use:
Recently the High Lords of Terra sought to promote a Supreme Grand Master of the Grey Knights, an extremely controversial move that would have given them significant power over the affairs of the Grey Knights since their chosen candidate (Draigo) was their puppet; four of the Grand Masters refused to back this affair, and when the eight who supported the High Lords forced the matter they gathered a significant backing amongst the rank and file of the Grey Knights and split off on their own. This was not a peaceful separation, many died in the retreat from Titan; but at the end of the day the splinter factions of the Grey Knights had fractured into many bands, each sworn to serve the Imperium and to oppose Chaos but each with different ideas how to accomplish their task. The band with which I concern myself is that of Grand Master Furyk Karede, one of the oldest Grand Masters who led the opposition to Draigo's ascension. He was disturbed by the High Lords' move, and led the revolt with backing from high within the Inquisition in the shape of Inquisitor Lord Alvarin Mathari. Karede himself and the eighty or so Grey Knights that remained with him now work directly for Inquisitor Mathari. I'd tack on more of the tale of Mathari's warband, but it's a little beyond the scope of this thread.
