Very cool!

Do you think it would be possible to put something around those guys' necks? They seem to wear explosive collars in the fluff, maybe you could add something like that to make them look even better, and help differentiate them further from the Catachan style. And/or you could paint little numbers or barcodes onto their skin.

Also, nice job about that feudal world Guardsman conversion. The studded coat looks good.

Thanks! I've got a whole squad and a chimera converted, but he's the only one I've got painted.

You got me thinking about that explosive collar... Might try something... something along the lines of Battle Royal (if you've seen it)

Not seen, but read - at least one book. And yes, that sounds like a cool idea.

Good luck!

Majority of my guard are white.. is easiest to paint, and when you're painting such a large army, easy wins. I do have other skin colors, a female officer, working on geting some regular female guards.

Sometimes I think we all forget this is taking place in the 41st millenium. Before the Emperor even rose to power on Earth humans would have long since bred to the point where everyone has the same skin and hair. I mean , aren't they currently claiming that redheads won't exist in another 60 years? We'll all end up brown hair brown skin in the future.

On the other hand... If you're into the Pleadian ideal, then it really doesn't matter. This veiw claims that evolution has nothing to do with the color of races, because all the races of man on Earth came from different parts of the galaxy during a war in the Lyra System. Now before you make fun of me for believing in something so strange, take a look at the Pyramids, Puma Punku and the Nasca Lines. If you think "early" humans made those structures then you have greater faith in mankind than I do.

Well, you made me Google 'Pleadian Idea', and let's just say that I trust the work of generations of scientists, archaeologists and historians, empirical evidence and logical principles more than I do whichever nutters dreamed-up that idea.

It's not really that difficult for an ancient civilization to have built the pyramids. Once they'd unlocked the mathematics behind it, the rest is just grunt labor. The mathematics came first, and then they applied them as works for their God-Pharohs.

I've heard that redhead thing before. I have decided not to believe it because, frankly, I love redheads! I have a long running dream where in 60 years (I'll be 92) I find me a nice young 20 year old redheaded girl and live happily ever after!

I don't like gettin way off topic but the Pyramids were not built by man. The legend says it was build in 20 years. That would mean that each, multi-ton block, would need to be placed every 9 seconds. Puma Punku is made of diorite and granite. Those are the two hardest stones after diamonds. That would mean that all tools used at Puma Punku were diamond tipped. But, thats's impossible because there are no diamonds for hundreds of miles in any direction. Also the slabs of stone there are over 800 tons! nothing on Earth can lift that.

Please don't make fun of me for believing in the Pleadian Theory. If people want to believe in invisable old men in the sky or a man who supposedly walked on water over 2000 years ago I don't see the problem with believeing in Humanity being from another world.

Well...when they had tens of,maybe even hundreds of thousands of slaves to do the work I don't see why the pyramids are so implausible. And 20 years is a long time when they're working every single day. Also, after a quick google, the heaviest stone in puma punku is around 130 odd tonnes.

Just because there is no God doesn't mean aliens did everything for us. That's very arrogant.

Mmmhmmm. You'd be surprised at what you can build with tight mathematics, lots of human labor, and brutal application of engineering.

edit: Also, when you have the resources of (in the case of Egypt) a totalitarian theocratic state, well....you can afford to do big things. Especially if there is an entire industry devoted towards it.

The 'ouse Guru 'e up an' sez "The Guard is weak and lame!"
The Chaos gits around the shelves they laughed and snickered in my face,

Oh it's "Angels this" an' "Space-wolves that", and "Guardsmen, go away!";
But it's "Thank you for the ordnance" when the Guard begins to play,
O it's "LOOK AT ALL THE ORDNANCE!" when the Guard begins to play.."

This gives a great deal of info on the topic, as well as explaining counter-popular theories

http://www.world-mysteries.com/mpl_2_1.htm

As you seem to be a believer you should know its actually called the Pleiadian Theory, One of the greatest problems with the theory is why, simply why would a massively advanced species that has developed FTL travel or is capable of making multi-generational ships come to a world rich in useful materials come to Earth periodically between the stone age to dark age to build structures and then leave again, it makes little sence.

Also as to the cutting of the stones, you may not realise this but granite can be split, cut and shaped without the use of diamond tipped tools. The biggest problem i have with the theory is that it casts humans as idiots, humans haven't evolved in brain size since the stone age, the reason we are at this tech level is due to information transfer improvements, since the dark age we have had a continous tranfer of knowledge between each generation. this was also true for each of the great old civilisations, they could have developed any number of unknown technologies.

The ancient empires of humanity during that time were not cave men, they were civilised with some of the greatest thinking humanity has ever had, so selling them short is a bit of a kick in the mouth to them.

I do not wish to sound unkind, but as an academic, the readiness with which people believe the random babblings, unsupported by evidence, logic or even basic plausibility, they read on the internet continues to amaze and appal me. Ignoring the implausibility of the theory's claims, and the utter lack of positive evidence to support them, it does not satisfy any of the grounds required for a logical hypothesis: it is not verifiable, it is not testable, it is not falsifiable, and it ignores the principle of parsimony.

If you wish to learn about the ancient world, or about human evolution, there exists a vast body of reputable, evidence-based, peer-review academic work, carried out by generations of patient scholars; try reading this, not fantasies peddled by cranks on the internet.

Ancient Humans were just as advanced as we are today in some areas.

Skulls have been found with brain surgery, the growth on the holes indicates that the person survived for quite some time afterwards too.

Then there are Bhagdad Batteries. These could have had any number of uses.
