his interceptor shunted and toasted my Long Fangs!
Against a list like this with 10 Interceptors, I'd play defensively and get for counter-strike. Positioning of LF (assuming 3 LF packs) is key. How did he get your LFs?

But then they cannot charge so that you had another turn shooting them. What happened here?

Two Words: Necron Monolith.
Deep strike right infront of them( or fry them with the template weapon from a distance). The Monolith Laughs off Melta shots just like it laughs at Krak Missiles.
but we all know how to stop a Monolith. Phase out.

Ignore the Monolith and kill Necrons with the Necron Special Rule.
If 75% of the models with the Necron Special Rule are killed, the army vanishes, and you(being the non Necron Player) win by Phase Out.

Any blast template with AP3 or lower would do the job. Mass fire will tear them down. Melee units that can close with them quick work. There's really a lot of things.

There are several ways to deal with long fangs.
5 Wolf Scouts with a Melta gun and attached Wolf Guard with Power fist and Combi Melta is quite good at dealing with long fangs provided things go right like deployment is dawn of war or pitched battle, the wolf scouts roll well for reserves and roll a 3+ for sides. This isn't the most reliable but thats why you take 2 units. These are also great for attacking fire support vehicles that sit in the back field and fire.
Take Twin Linked Heavy Bolter Razobacks dedicated transports for your own long fangs and possibly other small units of troops. Heavy Bolter Razorbacks do a decent job of anti infantry if you have enough of them. Buying 3 Heavy Bolter Razorbacks for your long fangs helps your long fangs get into position for dawn of war deployment and helps you kill opposing long fangs as well as gives you empty vehicles to pick up squads who lost theirs. You can go one step furthur and run heavy bolter razorbacks instead of rhinos for troops but you lose fire points and you want at least 1 rhino for a fire point for the rune priest.
Thunder wolf cavalry are pretty fast and even small units deal with long fangs fairly well provided you take at least a wolf claw if not a power fist.
Swift claw bikers also can move quickly and kill long fangs but I prefer thunder wolves since they are tougher to kill and better in combat.
Your own long fangs can be useful against opposing long fangs if they have to bunch up in area terrain and you can hit them with frag missles. However you will probably want to use them to fire on vehicles.

Liquifier guns.
50% chance to negate armor saves, always negate cover saves. Two of those in a ten man unit of Wracks, or one in a 9 man unit of Kabalite warriors with attached haemonculus.

I dont know exactly what lfs do, i guess theyre like devs but better. so, as an ork player, i would suggest the odd suicide deffkopta, followed by a kommando ambush led by snikrot. if the komandoz carry two flamers, they can do some damage to marines

As an Eldar player, I would take 2 outflanking Warwalker units with scatter lasers, each unit has 24 BS3 S6 shots.

Not really, they dont pack enough shots to kill the long fangs. Unless you have a heck load of them.
They can tie them up in melee if they dont have PF in the unit though.
