my budget isn't really a gaming budget. i normally spend about 200.00 per month on gaming, like a new tank here, paint there, tournament entry here, and so on and so forth.
that is also broken up amongst magic the gathering and warhammer 40k. For all of my gaming (including electronic) i try to hold money back out of my discretionary budget to buy what i want when i want.
i am a very competitive magic the gathering player, so i normally buy a case of what ever comes out and then buy the singles to round out any sets i didnt get in the case.
sometimes this is as cheap as 600.00, sometimes it costs me closer to a thousand. because my wife and i agree on that, i try not to spend to much at one time unless i am planning on a huge purchase, like building a brand new army or a new expansion comes out.
then i plan for it, and don't spend much for the three months leading up to it. i will then take the saved money, put it with my discretionary budget and then decide on what to do.

Well. Currently unemployment means...
I get models when the holidays roll around. I used to be able to get one kit every two weeks with a job I landed. But I was laid off.

I don't budget for GW. When I need something I buy it. Paint mostly. Right now I have enough models that is I painted a unit a week it would take me about half a year to a year to paint everything I got.
Currently it has been about 2 months since I bought anything GW related.

You could sleep with 100 fat chicks for fifty dollars... or 50 really cat chicks for 100 dollars. (Quagmire)
I am a full time student so I make roughly 12-1400 a month from scholarships and tuition assistance from uncle same. So roughly about 200 a month ide say.

I spend about $500-$800 a month on incidentals, which would include movies, eating out, wargaming, books, and anything else that one might lump into 'entertainment'.
In normal months I'd say that wargaming gets a little less than half of that total budget.

I'm hoping that my newly qualified radiographer wife will be employed by the NHS shortly. we've got a few interviews coming up (fingers crossed)
this means however that her starting wage will be equivalent to my current wage, so we're doubling our money after tax
the normal £100 i have a month to spend on, well myself should now become my entire disposable income as i won't have to pay for food, school dinners, breakfast club, kids shoes, clothes, toys, animal food and products and all the other sundries a family man has to pay for not including bills and mortgage etc.
hell i'll even be able to buy a new bike and maybe even splash out on some actual model cases to keep all my lovely shiny models safe. or hell cut my work hours and spend my time watching daytime tv being a house dad and painting armies...
OOOh that one

No budget here. I buy what I want and what I perceive as a good value. My problem isn't having enough money but having enough time at the moment. Guess I won't ever have both until I retire :(

My budget for GW stuff since May 16 has been.............$0. My budget for everything else gaming related is about $200 / month though it doesn't always go to gaming stuff. If GW was hoping to snag some money from me for Dreadfleet. Nope....not happening. Instead will be getting the two player starter set from PP.

My hobby budget is: Steadily decreasing (now approaching $0) due to a fundamental shift in hobby attitude.
This is a direct result of:
1. Percieved decreasing ROI on purchases. Products these days seem to fall chiefly into two categories. Mass market rubbish for the quick sale and poor long term prospects, or quality niche products which have poor support (community wise or distributor wise). Prices keep rising regardless of which category they fall into.
2. Steadily decreasing free time.
3. Enormous backlog of hobby materials. I'm sitting at around 25% painted for 40k and 30% painted for Warmachine. I have enough to paint for YEARS. I have video games on my shelf that are shrink wrapped. I have shrink wrapped games sitting next to their sequel games, which are also shrink wrapped. I have enough unstarted video games to possibly last me THE REST OF MY LIFE.
4. Reducing clutter. I have too much hobby stuff. Despite still buying the odd item, I am in a quest to significantly decrease hobby footprint (storage wise) every time I move house. Buying huge amounts of stuff I don't have time to build is counter to this goal. Ergo, if it doesn't get built and used right away, I'm not buying it. In fact, I'm really looking forward to the new Eldar codex. I have a huge quantity of Eldar that needs a new home.

I have about £100 to play with. But that money is devided between models, roleplaying stuff and video games. Games Workshop sees almost none anymore, since I have four or five armies to paint and convert.

I know I spent over $200 this month on entertainment (models, paints, this month include Heroclix for some reason and old Street Fight action figs for desk ornaments). I usually only spend up to half that on a given month. I think the next month will be an expensive one too.

I don't save a percentage of my income specially for this, but I might spend between 50 and 100€ at month, including comics. Some months less, some months more.

Usually about at most £150, usually about £60-70.
I'm on a placement year from uni so making a nice wage and living with the rents so after car and phone and some housekeeping money I get to keep the majority of my wages its rather nice

Was about 100 AU a month
Now is about 15 AU a month
Since all the carp that's gone down with GW, I've lost interest and as a result my bank account has soared back up.
But seriously, I used to buy exclusively GW, now I am into RAFM, Rackham and Mantic. I think its silly that GW aren't capitalising on the spread of newer, more interesting systems, rather staying on more solid ground rather than breaking it as they used to.
As for dreadfleet and the other more *limited edition* once off games. Phhhht, get ****ed. I have NO interest in any of that stuff anymore.

Agreed, but I will say that after paying off school bills, mortgage and other bills, our disposable income is not nearly what one would expect based on our gross income.
Thus, my actual gaming budget is quite small, but I pay for much of my hobby by buying and selling used stuff at a profit.
