Yeah I won't argue that at all, I was actually worried I was going to need tons of glue to make sure they stand up okay, but it's really not that bad. I do wish they gave some heftier legs though , but at least (in my opinion) the size ratio of the model itself seems to be perfect.

The trick is to pose it in a lumbering position and to leave off the half-bowl piece connecting it with the lower body:

Maybe I missed this in another post or read over it in this one but has anyone put forth the idea that this might be a Tyranid flyer? I can not remember the forgeworld model but it kinda makes sense. You now have a transport for certain models on a multi wound critter that can fly.

Well, for one, we've got StraightSilver mentioning it's a Tervigon/something else kit. The Tervigon wouldn't make a good dual kit with a flier. Second, the Tyranid flier, the Harpy, is pretty bad, and doesn't exacty fill missing gaps, since it's just a fast moving twin linked heavy venom cannon.
I'm still of the hope that the 'something else' is a modernised Malefactor. Giving us a kit that makes a Tervigon or a transport would be ace.

Just to say I think GW are utter fools for not releasing models for the Tervigon especially when the book came out. It's obviously one of the best units in the army and only a bunch of clowns could think a model would not be really popular.
Absolutely - I am surprised that with all them Monsters coming out for WHFB, that they didn't do a Tervy. I mean, yes, they did do a Trygon, but a Tervy/Tyrannofex hybrid kit along the lines of the hybrid WHFB kits would sell like hotcakes. Tervigons are sick in the new dex, and half the players would field 2+ if an easy model were made. I'd even buy one.

So we have a thread about a rumor that's already been mentioned and already it's devolved into a "GW hates us customers!" mixed with a little "Chapterhouse is lame!" for good measure.
Best. Thread. Ever.

That only depends on your level of cynicism.
Some of us like the idea of GW adding new units (and models) via WD. Some of us would like that idea more if the army that’s getting the new model had a complete of models range already. I mean, can you imagine if they’d released some sort of fantastic 4-legged clanky Dread for the Orks via WD but never released a Battle Wagon? Same situation.

How much bigger? If it's a codex addition, it can't get much bigger without stepping into gargantuan creature territory. Though Heirodules are about Trygon size, I could see them fitting into standard games. It's possible to not like chapterhouse in this situation and not be a GW white knight.

The Puupet Wars one IS currently the best option.
Of the two, Puppet Wars is definitely the better looking, but of all the versions I have seen I definitely prefer Blue Table Paintings version:

They have had several iterations after this version and they just keep getting better and better (and of course they still sell them, even though the video is 1½ years old )

After 1½ years, they might consider posting a pic of the model they sell
My favorite is this one from Russia, sadly OOP now. Much better than the GW concept sketch.

Yeah... Shawn runs a very weird Youtube oriented business model, so they kinda expect people to have already seen the custom conversions they do and don't really try to sell the models from a normal web shop.
But he has a very extensive catalog of completed projects, and this is one of the iterations from the early months after the Nidz release:
And he has a spreadsheet for every model in every 40k codex/fantasy army book, so I can see that the price for one of these would be 76$
By the way, that Russian version has a very "early Nidz" vibe to it. Reminds me of one of the old Armour Cast models, though I can't remember it's name at the moment...

What do they charge for those? Because if this mystery release doesn't end up being a Tervigon, I might end up trying to order one of those. Definitely the best conversion I've seen.
What I dislike about the russian tervigon is the legs underneath it. Tyranids have 6 legs. No more. No less.
