Harker's vet squad is going to be singled out fast, seeing as it has no ride. Also, i feel like you should do less squadroning. Mayhaps you drop the the sentinals, and move one of the valks into there slot. Then, if you could scrounge up some more points by getting rid of the doctrines(they arn't all that useful anyhow) you could get a 2nd manticore. Right now, it's vunerable to outflankers and such, because it's the only thing backfield. But hey, i'm no gaurd player, so take my advice with a grain of salt. After all, i'm just a guy on the internet.

Good, maybe an extra melta. (three is the magical number because: one will fail, on will miss and one will hit. )

Marbo is awesome, but he's a bit hit and miss. (He's basicly, i kill something and then i die too. The problem is when he misses, you've given away a killpoint.)

Plasmapistol is basicly a waste of point. For the same points you can have a plasma gun, that can shoot twice at 12 inch range.
Pioneers....Don't know what it is, i'm guessing you have a german Codex? But basicly they're all useless, except the one that gives you lots of MB and a demo charge.
Harker...the consensus is 'not competitve'. I have no idea about him seeing as i never used him.

Vendetta's is the better choice. (you have a manticore for anti horde.)

Drop one, get an extra vet squad. to ride your extra Vendetta.

Manticore is awesome!
Not to bad for a first list. But it's still a bit too much of everything.
And the biggest point: Not enough Troops. Troops win games. If you look in the rule book. There are 3 gametypes: Two off them are capture objectives.
Only troops can capture objectives. So they're important. Add the fact that they are weak guardsmen, but powerfull for their cost. you wiould like to invest a bit more in them.
So i'm suggesting this ( a more streamlined list.) :

The reason behind the plasma is, because you already have a good amount of melta and lascannons, for your AT needs.
The stormtrooper squad, is debatable, i just had points left. If you'd like you could exchange it for an additional manticore.
But please recheck the points of my list if you decide to use it. (I counted in my head. )
Plus if you decide on a list, post it in the army list section, so other experienced players can decide, if somethings could be better.

But about the list you wrote; what happens if the manticore breaks? ill have to shoot gants with lacannons.... Shouldnt i get at least one valk to lay down pieplates?
But then again, every veteran has his lasgun (or should i give them pumpguns?)
I think ill keep marbo, and for ome reason i also want to keep the sentinels; though its not that important.
And we dont have to fix it up until its supa-awsum btw; im not going to attend a tournament with them, and as said before i like themed lists. But your list actually fits very nicely, Ill jut try to do some small modifications. I think im going to end up with something between yours and mine.

I really think you need more anti-horde.. Green tide will sweep you away, because you don't have really any templates besides the manticore. And proper spacing can mess even that up. I think that mayhaps you should go half & half with vendettas and valks. Or take a vet/stormtrooper squad with flamers instead of meltas/plasmas.

Now Im at 1500 again; and the one they call pioneers in the german dex is the one that gives you meltabombs and a democharge. I know this list isnt the most competive one, but its adapted to the armys around here (my lovely Orks, my brothers eldar, my mates deamons, some jerks SPESS-MUHREEENS and some other guys loyal IG)
If there is some major flaw in it, let me know, but i think it should work. If i make it too good that'd actually be a bad thing, as it would regularly beat the crap out of the other local armys, wich are all more or less fluff inspired as well. So Id win more often, but nobody would want to play against me after a short time...
