I thought the reference wouldn't travel well across the Atlantic and the generations and only a handful of Brits of a certain age would get it!
Truth be told Chibi I only caught it due to the fact I was a pretty big fan of " The Young Ones" back in " the day".
Edit:...Upon thinking about it, I realized that statement may require some explaining...
You see, in the series ( The Young ones) one of the characters would often make remarks concerning " Cliff Richard"...Not knowing who he was at the time, and curious as to why the comments were amusing, I begin to dig for information...thus culminating in my appreciation of your "Weregoingonasummerholiday" reference ...

Oh yes! The Young Ones were big on Cliff! (you prolly know already but the Young Ones borrowed the title from a Cliff hit which iirc correctly was also in the film Summer Holiday)
