Don't have to, but it limits you a bit on your choice of 'Rewards'.

I'm playing this in the spirit of the old rules in the ROC books. Your Patron Chaos power gives you rewards for beating up champions of his upstart inferiors.

No Patron means no gifts, but the chaos wastes are always happy to let you roll on the attribute table and pick up a few mutations.)

So I'd encourage folks to think about choosing one of the 4 major powers, or pledging themselves to Chaos Undivided.

Yeah, I'll be making good use of the Iron painter on friday night.) I converted a Nurgle Chariot pulled by XXX tonite, for my lord to go into. Have to do the banner on my Dragon Ogre, and decided to paint up a unit of 1980's beastmen in nurgly colors. And need to do new bases for them. I like to do cool bases when it's small stuff like Mordheim. This is 29 models, but mostly the pestigors.

Just fyi, I'll be there Saturday now instead of Sunday. Probably from around 9 or 10 till around 5 or 6. I'll run demos of Blackwater Gulch for whoever wants to check it out. I'll bring all the models and some scenery too, I'll just need a 4x4 space and maybe a few trees and stuff

Cool. Looking forward to seeing the game.

Working tonite on finishing the sculpting on rot beasts, and cooking up the sausages and steaks. Hopefully I'll keep the nurgle out of the food, but no promises.)

Just wanted to say I had a great time meeting some people. I am a Dakka and War Gaming newbie and it was a great environment. Ill be making the trip to showcase comics more often once my army is painted up.

Hey hey, Mrs S and I had a great time as always! Winning the 40k tourney was very cool (and highly surprising! ) and had lots of games laughs and aftergame booze with the Dakkanauts!

Let's take a look at what we got up to;

Friday Night was WarmHordes night (not many pics, Mrs S and I went for dinner at a very good restaurant in town)



Saturday Morning saw the 40k tourney kick off, we paired and all chipped in 10bucks for a prize, I got paired with a very cool necron player and we took 1st place, I won all 3 of my games, very pleased with how my army held up.

Then, as the afternoon dust settled from the 40k, onto the special games.

Necros brought his Wild West game to show us and, after taking a look through the rulebook, I'll be ordering my copy soon!




cyporien brought her Brushfire game to show us and playtest, I'm personally loving the warthogs/lions/hyena faction.

Sunday morning, we stumbled bleary eyed into the store, ready to enjoy the favour of the Dark Gods, WHFB warbands kicked off (although some sneaky types had already got in a number of games the night before)

Meanwhile, our excellent host, Mike, is chewing bubblegum and kicking ass with his Nurgle warband of Dooom!
Skaven should be an easy meal...

But his luck certainly returned, here is his great nurgle toads stunning the crowd and beating the snot out of RiTides' dragon ogres, who fled and got eaten, nom nom!


Had a great time, hopefully we can do another in July as with 2011 and also keep building on getting more and more Dakkanauts to join in, meet those you've been talking to for ages on the site and bask in the glory of Mike's excellent store and amazing hospitality.

Again, thank you Mike for hosting us and making us feel so welcome, you're a scholar and a gent!

It was a blast! I can't wait for the next one. That tournament was 3 rounds of the most fun battles I've ever played. Thanks to everyone who organized and/or participated. A great time, really!

Great to see all you lads as usual! A very good time, even if everyone was kind of burned out by the time we got to Sunday's Warbands madness I know I was.

I brought my camera into the store every day, and it never left my backpack. Too good of a time!

The hotel just round the corner from the mall is $67 per night for a kingsize if you pay in advance. It's nice and clean and right next to a good diner. The advantage to this is you are also able to participate in the after-after party!
