Gymnogyps: the blue is regal blue mixed with boltgun metal and an asurman blue wash, it looks better in person (its all shiney XD) not sure if I can do anythibng with spike just yet but if I find a good model for him I'm sure I'll be able to do something lol

Damn. Some of you "Bronys" are so defensive. So someone doesn't get the whole "pony theme". Chill. The OP made a 40k army out of My Little Pony toys. I'm sure he expected it to be at least a little controversial and get some trollish comments. That's some of the point to doing it. Making a pony army is almost trolling in itself; having a bunch of rainbow ponies in armour in an exceedingly grimdark game? Trolling.

That said, I think it's quite nicely done trolling. I won't bro-hoof but I will commend you, OP. You've put quite the effort into converting an innovative take on counts-as rules.

This is just simply brilliant! Sure... its not all that grimdark, its more like grimbrightness, but who the heck could look at this and not recognize the work and the love put in.

But say... Is there any chance you could post that there horsey next to a regular model for size comparison? Just so us non-pony lovers get the idea of how big these critters are?

You have to realize why we are so defensive, on the main MLP thread we took allot of flak, several pages consisting of nothing but troll comments. Simply, our motto is 'don't like? Stay out.' The trolling was so bad, we where accused of stuff like pedophilia and other things. Read the other thread and you'll understand.

This is truly awesome my friend. It makes me sad that I sold my pink flower power necron army back in the day.

at first i thought well... but then i saw your pics on the other thread about proxies...then i just had to take a look... i really like your work... also the paintjob is quite good and all around i likemthe theme now...even if i am not a fan... but you really bring on the humorous side of the project! one thing that i don´t understand tho... on your first finsihed mini you had the bolpistol without the grip...? intentional? because if they use other weaponry... they sure can´t pull the trigger with thee hoofkins...but i guess this is just a sidepun... so i would suggest letting the guns complete... there is little chance that you could make guns look as if a pony could use them ...so i would suggest just skiping that conversion part...

other than that i hope that this project will see lots of updates... it is truly unique!

I love the armor on RD. And I can't wait to see the others converted.

Pretty awesome army. I did notice though you put the God-Empress Celestia. It has recently come to my attention that the God-Empress is actually Saint Kathrine, the Emperor's only Daughter.

When this happened... I have no clue. The same way he suddenly had 21 sons instead of 20 I guess.

Oh, and in the near future, I wish for my Imperial Fists to fight them. I will smite your ponies in the name of Dorn!!!

Though concerning some of the posts here, I haven't really seen any overly defensive bronies or too many trolls for that matter. Most people seem to be pretty mature about this whole thing

The show is written by the same people that did Foster's Home and I believe Powerpuff girls. If you've watched those you'll understand on how much "adult" humor you can fit into a show. Not the bad kind of adult humor, the semi innocent stuff that kids won't get, but the parents will.

That being said, I also watch it because of the cuteness and well written stories. I have no issue admitting that among all the dark and evil stuff I read and watch, I like a bit of cuteness on the side.
Bronies are guys that like the show for what it is and aren't ashamed to admit it. I'm married and my wife watches with me and my friends couldn't care less (though some of them have been welcomed into the Herd.)

With this, let's please let the thread go back to the OP. This is a blog after all. If you need more information, read the 97 page thread in OT about MLP. Thank you all.

The Boltgun thing is a sort of mounted gun, strapped to the armour- a battle-saddle, if you will. Unicorns are the only ones that have the fine-manipulation necessary to pull a trigger on a standard human gun (with their telekinesis magic) so most ponies use specially made harnesses for this sort of thing. The members of the Adeptus Equus connect to their holy Bolters through the Black Carapace in their Power Barding.

Though there should be a second Bolter on the other side- Bikes have them twin-linked.
