That is pretty awesome and I hadn't seen it before either, but I was referring to this one.

I'm amazed that the Multiplayer has kept me hooked for so long with just 2 maps.

When you factor in that multiple enemy types (thus AI tactics) will come in play , more maps/environments and more weapons will exist...I'm scared of facing the Choiceâ„¢ at release day : Start shooting baddies with other people (Renegade?) or go for a single player session and save the galaxy!(Paragon!)....

ARGH. DECISIONS.

Anybody know if you'll be able to use pre order bonus weapons in multi-player, I got the N7 valkyrie and would like to know if it's single player only?

I think the Multiplayer weapons are going to be split from the singleplayer ones. Hopefully you'll still be able to unlock them at least.

I've been seriously playing the MP every night. And it's just the demo!

And you're right, I can't wait to see what other maps are on offer, as well as what other enemy groups we'll be fighting off. Obviously it's Cerberus and the Reapers, but I remember reading somewhere that you might be mixing it up with Geth as well.

I'm just guessing here, but it feels like at least in the Demo there's Three different weapons for each Weapon type. I really like the Revenant assault rifle and all, but it's just too wildly innacurate for what it does. The Mattock is awesome, and the noise it makes with each triggerpull is to die for. They really made the guns sound awesome.

And then there's the Carnifex Hand Cannon. Besides the fact it's named after a giant bio-monster (awesome), it can pretty much drop anyone in a handful of shots. And it feels so good doing it. I once played an entire match without having to pull out my assault rifle.

It seems Level 18 is where things start hitting a plateau. I got up to the high teens pretty fast, and now I'm struggling to break into twenty.

I am a bit disappointed in the Soldier class though. The reason I played a Soldier in ME1 is to get access to heavy armor. And in these games it seems like everyone can wear whatever they want. In MP the Soldier feels gimped in comparison to the other classes, unable to respond to the varied threats that show up. My Engineer can handle any problem that comes his way. Overload and Incinerate crush through shields and armor, and the Combat Drone is 'just like havin' another soldier on the field!'.

*cough*

I was going to try and play through ME2 again before ME3 comes out. But damn this Demo! I have a galaxy to save... but it's so much more fun to save it with three of my buddies!

Soldier can do absolutely absurd weapon damage with rage up and full upgrades, or be about 50% tougher than other classes. (krogan soldier is like 4X tougher than anyone else raged up)

you really need a ton of weapon stabilizer to make the revanent usable, with ~60% sabtility and +~35% accuracy its still sort of inaccurate, but combined with the rage you can drop an atlas on gold in ~2-3 magazines.

You mean Adrenaline Rush? Yeah, I need to put more points into that. I was focusing on getting my base weapon damage up first with Alliance Training, and then Fitness to bump my survivability.

Concussive Shot is pretty... I dunno, useless? It doesn't do crap to shields or barriers. It's just good for bouncing people out of cover... unless they have shields or barriers.

The Frag Grenades are nice, and pretty powerful, but them being limited use is super-gimp. Just put em' on a timer like everything else.

I'm not going to give up on my Soldier, I just like my Engineer a million times more.

The Revenant looks awesome, sounds awesome....and performs terribly. Even with the Turian passive that increases weapon stability it's output on anything smaller than a barn is equal to the avenger rifle. Not to mention the weight of the thing.

Note : I'm talking about the Sentinel, I have yet to see a Turian soldier.

I really like the Avenger. Mine hit level five finally, and though it doesn't put out a ton of damage, it's fast and accurate enough that I can rattle someone with it, and then sweep to a headshot to put em' down faster. Putting Cryo rounds on it makes it even better. And it doesn't weigh a thing! I can give it to my Engineer, with a pistol, and I still have +108% Power Recharge.

I do like the Mattock though. It's all I use for my soldier now.

I'm looking forward to the 3rd Shotgun. Though I definitely like how fast the Scimitar fires, great for my Vanguard.

you have two options on using it, one is extended mag + recoil reduction and you just run everyone down, the spread matters very little when you are raged up and aiming at the persons torso at 10m away, the only thing you can't shred in about half a second is a phantom. Weight isnt too much of an issue if you don't run a second weapon.
On gold you really need a soldier with a rev or 2 snipers with m99's because by wave 9 or 10 you are going to be out of missles and wave 10 has 6 or so atlas's to it.

Conc shot is kind of useless, unless you focus on it and power damage, and take a single light weapon, is is /super/ spammable and also does a ton of damage.

Yeah, I was running with a chap who was spamming the crap out of it for a few rounds. All it did was seem to make a lot of noise and knock down a few people.

The problem with trying to get in people's faces with the Revenant is that on the harder challenge levels your shields get taken down so fast you can't just rush in. You really need to have something that can plink at a distance and drop some of the firepower before you can get in with the assault rifle.

I may give it a shot once I have some more mods for it, but for now I'll stick with the Mattock. Hell the Tempest has a tighter field of fire than the Revenant.

Any opinions on the Locust? I haven't unlocked the thing yet, but just seeing it in action (and hearing it!) I really want to give it a go.

Locust is accurate and fast firing, but doesn't do much damage
On Gold, and to a lesser extent silver, yeah people can bring down human shields in a hurry, the trick is to headshot to stumble the target, follow up with a conc/singularity/throw/whatever to keep them stunned, and they should be dead in a hurry, if you dont have enough upgrades throwing out a mellee is an option too
regular assault troopers i can kill with the rev before they finish the first stumble animation, centurians need a followup knockback as do guardians.

The mattock is a nice gun too, but you cant beat the rev once you have like 60-70% reduction and 30-40% bonus accuracy.

name is dastompa, friend me and invite me if you catch me on and i'll show you how to run a-hole rev gunner ;P

In Revelation Space

Not enough voice options. The cut scenes didn't leave much up to the player and you didn't get to make any choices. This has me EXTREMELY worried that Bioware just turned this into a 3rd person shooter with RPG elements. That would be a huge shame, because I have been looking forward to this game for 2 years. :(

I absolutely loved Mass Effect 1 and 2. They had everything I could ever want out of a Space Opera (even if Mass Effect was just a series of novels it would be almost equally amazing), and I am worried they will screw this up based on the Demo. The combat and the Graphics are awesome, but it seems they forgot the Mass Effect part. I'll still play it, and probably enjoy the story, but I really hope I get to alter the story like in Mass Effect 1 and 2.

Yeah, I kinda got that vibe from the Demo as well, but considering it's just the Demo I'm not going to judge it too hard.

Besides, they have my money already. I only played it because my ex came over and wanted to see the single player demo. I was just going to lurk on MP until the game came out.

It seems they took out a lot of the more neutral options, it was just GOOD! or JERK!

It does look a LOT better, I have to say that. I guess we'll have to just wait and see.
