And I can't stand the view that 'lust' is a bad thing. 'Love' is a word that is used as a front for lust, desire, emotional attachment or enjoyment. It's a catch-all word and one persons viewpoint of the various forms of 'love' will differ from anothers. I don't see why 'lust' should be considered to be 'degrading'. What's wrong with lusting after someone or something? We're always doing it as humans, whether it's carnal or not - there is always something we want and something we lust after. Back to Slaanesh - yes Slaanesh could be considered a God of Love if you avoid the narrow-minded view that Slaanesh is all about sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex ad nauseum. Slaanesh is about enjoyment, sensation and, as I've pointed out before, perfection. Sex/carnal elements are rather minor when you consider the broad tapestry of things that could be considered as enjoyable, filled with sensation or allows to strive towards perfection. As a species we love sensations*, we love enjoying ourselves and sating our emotions, desires & urges and most of the time we love to perfect ourselves, striving to become the best at what we do. That is what Slaanesh encapsulates.

*Such as the feeling of speed, sexual contact, taste, touch, sound, sight.

Lust is a bad thing for the majority of people. Hence it is bad.


Love is more then just sex too, hence why we must distinguish between them.

I'm sure there was plenty of killing and that they were quite happy with that but I am also quite sure that there was rape as we know it today. I don't think GW is going to imply something and pull a switcheroo like that. I don't think their fluff writers are capable of duplicity on that scale.
