Well, there really is no point in bringing any army, other than grey knights to any tourney from now on. LOLThey should just award the first grey knight player to arrive with the trophy and forgo the inevitable game itself. At least we'll get to the bar sooner then. LOL I jest of course, but wow that is broken HAHAHA

It is the 3rd Millennium. For more than a hundred months Games Workshop has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Nottingham. It is the foremost of wargames by the will of the neckbeards, and master of a million tabletops by the might of their inexhaustible wallets. It is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with business strategies from the early Industrial Revolution Age. It is the Carrion Lord of the wargaming scene for whom a thousand veteran players are sacrificed every day, so that it may never truly die. Yet even in its deathless state, GW continues its eternal vigilance. Mighty battleforce starter-sets cross the online-store-infested miasma of the internet, the only route between distant countries, their way lit by a draconian retail trade-agreement, the legal manifestation of the GW's will. Vast armies of lawyers give battle in GW's name on uncounted websites. Greatest amongst its soldiers are the Guardians of the IP, the Legal Team, bio-engineered super-donkey-caves. Their comrades in arms are legion: the writing team and countless untested rulebooks, the ever vigilant redshirts, and the writers of White Dwarf, to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from other games, their own incompetence, Based Chinaman - and worse. To support Games Workshop in such times is to spend untold billions. It is to support the cruelest and most dickish company imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of sales discounts and Warhammer Fantasy Battle, for so much has been dropped, never to be re-published again. Forget the promise of cheaper digital content and caring about the fanbase, for in the GW HQ there is only profit-seeking, Space Marines and Sigmarines. There is no fun amongst the hobby shops, only an eternity of raging and spending, and the laughter of former employees who left GW to join better companies. |

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Well, that unit isn't quite optimised IMO. It could include a couple of techmarines for extra shots and extra bodies, and falchions are generally not as good as halberds. Building a death-star is a pretty precise science, lol.
But having said that, that 1300 point unit can only hold one or two objectives, and can only assault two or three times during the game. They'll trash almost anything they hit, but they can't hit that much and due to their exaggerated cost they are really hurt by anything AP2 or more. Demolishers are downright terrifying, plasma cannons and plasma guns, lascannons, melta-guns, all give them the shivers.
Thanks to FNP, a 2+ save and two wounds apiece, they are pretty well immune to small arms fire, but die (almost) the same to anything that ignores armour.

I've seen the whining threads about GK's on here, but I didn't realize just how OP they were until tonight. LMAO

No unit in the game can stand up to that imho.
I haven't seen a single post yet that even begins to equal the unparalleled whirlwind of epic destruction and death that this squad deals out.
Keep trying though. LOL
As a matter of fact, I challenge anyone to do the mathhammer with this unit against ANY other legal unit in the entire 40K game.
Sorry i forgot to mention your re-rolling all to hits and wounds. And with astoraphs axe you have to re role sucsecfull invuns.

As much as I LOVE the DC, I just don't see this list doing all that well on the table. Just doesn't seem like a very good allocation of points. just my .02 cents.

A lot of crazy building going on here and there doesn't seem to much in terms of limitations. Are we talking troops only, including special characters, etc.
I still like the Genestealers unit with TS and AG with brood lord. 95% of the time they are going first and rerolling all their rending attack misses. Hell if we are going crazy I have a tervigon beside them giving FnP and a Hive tyrant granting preferred enemy.
I think we need to decide on what the stipulations are for building the best assault units.

Deathstrike. Why bother in assault when you can nuke them? I'd say TH/SS Termies, led by Lysander or Calgar, although, the C'tan would have been my choice before a certain someone killed them off. 'Baddy and Kharn with as many pimped out 'Zerkers would be a beat face unit. Or a Bio titan.

While I don't think it would win against that GK Deathstar posted back one page. I took this unit the other day and "necrons are bad in melee" mentality caused them to do much winning.
Nemesor Zhandrekh
Obyron
Trazyn
2 warscythe, mind shackle scarab lords
2 crypteks, one with gaze of flame one with lightning field
10 Lychguard with shields.
When you charge them you lose furious charge, lose your attack on the charge, have to take multiple mind shackle tests and the unit has counter attack. The unit has multiple invuln saves and a res orb so they res on a 4+.
Most the squad has nasty power weapons and due to trazyn unlike most deathstars this bad boy is scoring.
Of course it also comes in at a completely silly 1200 points.
