Looks like its pushed back to Nov 30.
It looks like fans will have to wait for Baldur's Gate to swing open once again, as Beamdog head Trent Oster has revealed that Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition has been delayed. Writing in the Baldur's Gate forums, Oster noted that the overwhelming response to the project – and the resulting influx of volunteers, additions and fixes – has lead Beamdog to push the project back from September 18 to November 30.
In other words, it sounds as if the project has grown larger than Beamdog originally intended. "The suggestions, fixes, and translations continue, and more volunteers keep joining," wrote Oster, adding that Beamdog has delayed the project to provide "the best possible product on launch."
Oster asks for patience from fans, promising "something a little extra" is in the works for those who have already pre-ordered.

It came out today for PC. Anyone got it yet? Are the enhanced features worth another play through for someone who played the game several times back in the day?

I'm waiting for the iPad version.
I hear it has been rejected by the App Store though, so it might take a few more weeks.

Ugh, I think I prefer the old to the new. The new version looks like they just put a bunch of sprites on a photoshopped landscape. Does not blend in at all.

The new graphics look sweet. The intro movie is fething terrible though

I'm having no issues with this version, looks good to me. I was playing it religiously until Dragonborn was released, haven't gone back to it yet.

I've had one crash so far, but other than that, it's a good game.
Selecting loot from the ground can be a touch tricky, even with a stylus, but on the whole, I'm not disappointed.
Money well spent I think.

Picked it up for the iPad. As Marv335 said, picking up loot can be a pain, and some stairs/doorways are tough to get out of (though this was an issue in the original game too, now compounded by the fact that you can't 'hover' the mouse). There's a hint button that pops up the hover tooltips on everything on the screen, making it easier to find small pieces of loot (like that Ring of Wizardry hidden in a treetrunk outside of the Friendly Arm Inn) but it's still hard to actually click it. Splitting stacks (potions, arrows, etc) is next to impossible. Still, it's a lot of fun, and I'm glad to be able to play on of my favorite games of all time while I'm on the go. It also brings back a lot of AD&D memories- THAC0, negative AC's, low level wizards being more useless than animal companions, etc. Aah, memories.
