I dunno, saying you are quitting 40k to play Warmachine is like saying you are quitting to play Risk. It's not the same thing at all, so I don't why you would announce quitting one to play the other. But that said, GW's business model is annoying, but have you seen what PP has been doing? I'm no expert, but they seem to be moving in the same direction, right? The new cool models are a lot pricier than the older cheap ones.

Only sell the Orks if you need the money. Otherwise, as others have said, put them away, you will come back. My Dwarfs have been in the closet for two years, because one day I put down my brush and said if I have to paint another beard I would go insane. But, after painting 120+ Cadians, those Dwarfs are calling me...

3000 points is way too big. You really should be just doing 1500-2000 for the most reliable experience. I'd however like your club since at 3000 points I expect that we'd be all using apoc units and I got 3 baneblades that has gathered too much dust
