I assume, but not sure. I got the pictures from another forum and he didn't say where he got them. I checked Insider but didnt see it there. Note the fig is full resin and not resin/metal hybrid though. I wonder if that's cast up special just for the terrain piece or if they stock kit will be like that as well. Probably special.

Ouch! Those heavy warjack sculpts are atrocious! The colossal thing is not bad. Still, these minis are much too 'blocky' for my tastes. Does anyone honestly think those are aesthetically pleasing? I just wouldn't be able to play with models like that.

It's supposed to be blocky. It's the no nonsense, build em big, there's always room for more armor faction. The other factions get different styles, but I find this one very ascetically pleasing.

I like the giant mech. The king of the shoulderpads looks stupid, and I'm not fond of the 2 headed wolf.

How big is the giant mech, sizewise? 8 inches?

It's not really "mocking" so much as "using outright". I see no evidence that WH uses the aesthetic in any kind of sarcastic or jocular manner.

I'm not sure, Ouze - the base it is usually pictured as being stood on is 120mm, if that helps, so 8 inches or so doesn't sound that far off.

Saw conquest in person at TempleCon. I'd say 8-9 1/2" is a good estimate.

Warmachine isn't intending to copy WoW, the big shoulder pads thing comes from those being the most identifying part of the model you see when you look down on it at the angle of play.

Your avatar is a dreadnaught and the conquest is too blocky for you? Consider me vexed.

I do like the conquest personally (and the stormwall), but you are certainly entitled to your negative opinion of them. A lot of people love orks and trollkin but I find all of the big-chinned humanid brute races to be dopey looking. I have been a fan of giant robots all my life though, so liking the colossals isn't really surprising.

We will have to agree to disagree (and I am a huge Khador fan).

This thing in no way exemplifies what was cool about Khador's initial visual style or asthetic imho.

It looks like something out of Battletech not the IK.

The Ik had it's own distinct look at one time. Making warjacks and Collossals look less like the signature looks of the factions and more like the bastard children of battlemechs and transformers is NOT a good thing.

If I want battlemechs I'll play battletech...
