I believe it is a piece that was put together by PP, TBD - what's wrong with the paintwork? It looks pretty good from what I can see in the pictures that've been put online thus far.

If someone already has the Trollblood Colossal it's someone affiliated to PP probably. You'd expect the paint job on the army (especially the Khador army) to be a tad better if it's a studio army/display though...

It's a display made by PP specifically for Adepticon. Also, if you check the Lost Hemisphere pictures, you'll see that that's not a very flattering picture of the display as it's taken on a phone through the display's protective glass.

Judging by the picture in the first post the Khador army doesn't look that well painted at all. The white of the hats, for example, and the browns of the coats look very bland like only one layer of paint was put on it without much further highlingting and/or shading. Like they made it in a hurry, and didn't have enough time to finish it in time for the convention. Not what you'd expect of a studio display.

Maybe it looks better in person though... hopefully.

Well, that larger photo does indeed look a lot better, although they probably still ended up being a little short on time and skipped a bit on the common Khador troopers' coats and hats

Both the announced Collosals are $135, so I imagine the Gargantuans will be about the same.

Not true. These Colossals, despite sharing the name, are brand new(other than the Kraken) and have nothing to do with the previous and much larger ones that drove out the Orgoth.

It's an interesting developement nonetheless. It's feels like they're actually moving in that direction again. Could PP be working on bringing the Orgoth back as a new faction and the Collossals are part of their plan?

Orgoth are NOT going to be a faction. Between Riplung and Toruk, there is no more Orgoth Empire.

No, the names of he gargantuans for the other three main Hordes factions have already been revealed:

Legion of B0rkenness - Archangel
Skorne - Mammoth
Circle of Orboros - Woldwrath

It is currently unclear as to whether Minions will get a Gargantuan in this expansion, or whether PP will just work on expanding the pacts further - personally, I'm hoping for the latter.

Assuming they follow the idea set out in the Monsternomnicon, the Woldwrath will be a huge gorilla-esque Wold construct.

I guess the main problem with a Minion Collossal is the question to which faction it'll belong to. The Swamptopus is nice, but I guess Farrow want one too.

And "gorilla-esque" construct sounds about right.

I like it, but I really see a lot of the sameness among the Trollblood faction. Plus, I don't play trolls, so I don't expect to get this.

Waiting for Skorne's gargantuan. Hopefully it's better than the preview pics of Menoth's colossal.

eButcher, 3 units of Dreavers, and a Berserker. 15 points on the head, and T2 to boot.

Conquest lays down 3-4 AoE's a turn at 12-16" and looks like it can lay down smoke and rough terrain. Good luck getting to it with them and if you do, getting Treshered with Reach.

However, we also need to see if it's true that you have to choose which arc you're attacking on it. makes it a lot harder to kill if so.

Any idea when the hordes book could hit... maybe autumn?

I hope the mountain king is first in line for release... seems likely as the Conquest is (right?), and it was the first previewed, too.

Stormwall's actually the first one in line to be released for Warmachine.

Gators, not Crocs.


Crocs have long, thin snouts("V" shape) and teeth from both rows show. Gators have short broad snouts("U" shape) and only teeth from the top row show.

Also, Gators are purely freshwater inhabitants where as Crocs tolerate salt water due to well developed salt glands on their tongues.

Also, I like the troll colossal better than any of the warmachines ones I've seen! But then, I'm biased, as I play trollbloods...

Hey, I'm from Louisiana, we get taught the difference in like kindergarten, since we, y'know, HAVE Gators(but not Crocs).

Besides, according to fluff, Knight's aren't Titans. Sometimes I feel like not enough of you play Epic.
