That said, the American people generally don't like being told that out armed forces can't do something, so it really just comes down to a question of the probability of success, versus the probability of exposure of inaction.

The only thing that angers me is the right saying "no no he shouldn't do that" and seemingly forgetting how bush LANDED in an aircraft carrier during the 2004 election season, and much much more that I don't care to remember.

It's like a stupid version of capture the flag in the goverment atm, with the presidency being the flag.

But it could have been any special team that was assigned to this mission, it's not like these guys personally hunted him down. This operation was no more risky than the thousands they have conducted over the years.

True, but it wouldn't be the first time people were rewarded for being lucky now would it?
