My pewter Ulrik the Slayer Wolf Priest model that I use as a generic Wolf Priest. I bought the model when I first started my army because he looked cool, then never bothered playing him until a couple months ago when I decided to try him out. Since then he's outperformed my Rune Priest on the battlefield.

Also have to give props to the Space Wolves Battleforce. I had enough bits to create several Grey Hunters, Wolf Guard, parts of Long Fangs, and my favourite unit the Wolf Scouts.

So far?

I'm really excited for this Sedition Wars stuff. It is making me excited about gaming, and coming up with some of the other things out there. ( Such as the plastic/ resin Space hulk stuff that will obviously be doing double duty.)

Another game that is getting me excited is Caverns of Doom. Talking to the guy that makes the guys after another conversation. I am going to be buying a full set of each of the paint and play figures, then am going to be buying a meteric !@# ton of Otherworld, and reaper guys that are updated, similer versions of the figs.

I will be also getting some either plastic/ resin dungieon stuff, and going to be getting into some gaming based on some very old rules that will have some expanded stuff to them.

As for satisfying purchase- the search for the paint and play stuff, as well as the updates are more satisfying then the buying of the guys. If that makes any sense. For one, Heritage has a website with the box insert art from the old boxed sets, and the caverns of doom stuff is available for those of us in the know ( Not to mention for me, who has the paperwork, and map, but gave the figures to cousins and nephews... long long ago.)

Wonderous thing, gaming is.

Stripped down miniatures gaming, at its most basic.

I'm this close to buying me an old school set of 1st Ed D and D. mmmmmm....

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

My last purchase was a bunch of SSU models for Dust Warfare.

Most satisfying ever? Back in the days of 2nd edition 40K when I first started playing I remember being very excited about the SM dread (white metal). It was my first "big" 40K model, and it seemed so badass and cool and the fluff was awesome.

The Ork Stompa was a close second.

I still have a fondness for the "box on legs" Sm dreads...

The only thng I can see ever topping this satisfaction would be if they ever release a plastic Thunderhawk kit...

My most satisfying purchase happened recently.

Two complete sets of Orks from Assault on Black reach for $84 USD including shipping.

40 Boyz
10 Nobz
6 Deffkoptaz
2 Warbosses

(plus $10 in bits from bitzbarn for powerklaws and bosspoles)

and I almost have an entire quality 1k points list, provided I get a few more boyz (from AoBR of course!), and maybe some minor tweaks like a KFF Big Mek. All for under $100 and I get to assemble/build/paint/convert the entire thing myself, brand new!

Get some Killa Kans, Deff Dreads a Battlewagon and you'll have a very nice Goff klan army. Add Ghazghull for extra choppy goodness.

Wow, this is a tough one. There are a lot of models I love a lot. I can't really rank them in any sort of order, so as they come to me:

Kill Bursta and Tomb Stalker were both very enjoyable kits to assemble, although the Tomb Stalker is so delicate I dare not even transport it anywhere. I also wish I had done a better paintjob on the Tomb stalker (but I was very pleased with the Bursta).

I enjoyed painting the Triarch Stalker quite a bit; I think it might be the longest time I ever put into painting a single kit (even though it looks like a totally simple paintjob which was sort of disappointing). I worked on it for around 2 weeks, painting a little bit every night at work (so, 8 days).

The paintjob that satisfied me the most was probably my Nightbringer. My utter lack of photography skills really betray how good it came out, it's the only model I've done where I ever really nailed blending; the transitions to the highlights are really well done. I've gotta try that over again when I get a new camera. I also need to rebase him, that base is terrible.

The Khador half of the two player starter kit me a buddy of mine wnet halfsies on.

They were just supposed to be a one off side force I trotted out to let friends play on occasion, really it was all about an excuse to get my bud to start warmachine (succeed btw has 45ish points of menoth and 35 points of gators now lol), Cryx is my main army, and I was gonna pick up circle as my second,

But man have these big giant Russsian robots been a joy to paint, I've actually learned a lot of cool weathering techniques since painting them and have been doing some of my best work. The big broad amor plates on their jacks and man-o-war just beg for liberally worn and rusted paint schemes.
They're rapidly becoming as large as my main army.

Dunno I've never had a purchase so 180 my opinion on a factions models before.....

Most recent was a Necron battleforce, but I really hate putting warrior together, so I might sell it. Alclad 2 crons is a treat though.

Most satisfying is easily my airbrush and compressor. It's completely changed how I paint and sped me up 1000%
