Every time I listen to the Temples of Syrnix I feel the need to paint up some Necrons. So... sortof? Eventually I will end up with a Rush themed Necron army, and then my wife will *probably* divorce me for finally being too big of a nerd.
My CSM's fluff really is based on Irish history and mythology with a hint of the Gallic Wars. My army really is fighting against who they perceive to be vile oppressors, hence their break-away from the Imperium.
Also I've got some models painted up in a scheme for an Imperial Marine chapter I call the "Reavers of Aethelstan", who I painted up when I was interested in Saxons and Aethelstan being a Saxon king. It seems appropriate to have my Trodai an Bas at odds with the Reavers of Aelthelstan. Hence the appropriateness of the song.

Never really used much in terms of a theme song for my army besides generic metal/rock, although a few years back when the baneblade first came on the scene, whenever I used to move it or fire it, I would stop the game, and turn on the Imperial March from Star Wars until I had finished moving/shooting the Baneblade and then I'd turn it off.
Was pointless fun and quite irritating to opponents.
What I've done is categorized the armies into the style of music they listen to.
All Imperium armies listen to whatever they want
Necrons are dub-step, for reasons I need not explain
Eldar are classical music
Dark eldar are more dark classical music and emo and gothic. Dracula e.t.c
Chaos listen to weird warpy devil speeches that no one understands
Orks listen to 'eavy metal. We all know that
Tyranids listen to eating
And tau listen to house/techno
Just felt like sharing this as the thread is about music
Thou shalt not refer to the Adeptus Soritas as "Bolter Biatches" nor shalt thou go anywhere near our sisters during the time of the "Red Rage," lest thou wishes to be the first human to enter orbit without the aid of a shuttle.
Took me a bit to find the song I would adopt as my theme song for my Eldar who's leader has been corrupted by Malal. I hear this and can only think of my Eldar (Harlequin in general are a definite contender though).
I present Tchaikovsky's "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" as remixed by BogTroTTer (Hows that for some conflicting names?)
well seeing as my army is inspired by Shogun Total War II I picked a theme song from it:
Haven't decided on the viking IG song yet, but maybe this:
Admiral Chester W Nimitz wrote:The war with Japan had been re-enacted in the game rooms here by so many people and in so many different ways, that nothing that happened during the war was a surprise.
My DE is Judas Priest , Bullet Train
My Eldar is AC/DC You Shook me all night long
My DA is Hammerfall's Take Me to the Black
Necron's is Tub Thumping (I know)
Orks is Iron Maiden Run to the Hills
I imagine this would be perfect for an Imperial Guardsman:
Experience is something you get just after you need it The Narkos Dynasty - 15k Iron Hands - 12k The Shadewatch - 3k Cadmus Outriders - 4k Alpha Legion Raiders - 3k
For the WWI-themed Imperial Guard Army that I'm building:
Alternatively:
The Kool-Aid Man is NOT cool! He's a public menace, DESTROYING walls and buildings so he can pour his sugary juice out for people!"- Linkara on the Kool-Aid Man
