For my Iyanden Eldar. Lyrics and over complicated pieces of music with multiple parts seem unnecessary when it comes to Eldar. Something about a single instrument fits well with them.
8000 Dark Angels (No primaris)
10000 Lizardmen (Fantasy I miss you)
3000 High Elves 4000 Kel'shan Ta'u "He attacked everything in life with a mix of extraordinary genius and naive incompetence, and it was often difficult to tell which was which." -Douglas Adams
Only my IG Armoured Force....... ( I have quite UK/ Teutonic tastes when it comes to Military music, too much military music from the rest of the world is crap standfast SOUSA as the US have a good grip on their military music).
It's just brilliant, and makes you want to Drive Leman Russ battle Tanks through Walls, and Grind your enemies under your Treads whilst this Blares out at 300db. Just like the Household Cavalry, it's not the Winning or the killing that matters it's doing it with style and Panache.
For My Infantry It has to be this one, it's just Kick Ass. (one weekend, Richard Burton, Clint Eastwood and A Blonde named Mary decided to Win World War II :- WHERE EAGLES DARE).
Otherwise it's anything by the ROYAL MARINES BAND, and I mean anything, those guys are amazing. Case in point the original Thunderbirds recordings....

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!
Yes, Davidian by Machine Head. In fact all of my Grey Knights have the name of a Machine Head song across the cloth on their shoulder pads, and my tanks all have Machine Head motifs on them. When said tanks are lined up, the cloth across the front reads, 'let freedom ring with the shotgun blast', which is the chorus to Davidian. Oh, and my first Grand Master I built is Rob Flynn in Terminator Armour
It is the 3rd Millennium. For more than a hundred months Games Workshop has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Nottingham. It is the foremost of wargames by the will of the neckbeards, and master of a million tabletops by the might of their inexhaustible wallets. It is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with business strategies from the early Industrial Revolution Age. It is the Carrion Lord of the wargaming scene for whom a thousand veteran players are sacrificed every day, so that it may never truly die. Yet even in its deathless state, GW continues its eternal vigilance. Mighty battleforce starter-sets cross the online-store-infested miasma of the internet, the only route between distant countries, their way lit by a draconian retail trade-agreement, the legal manifestation of the GW's will. Vast armies of lawyers give battle in GW's name on uncounted websites. Greatest amongst its soldiers are the Guardians of the IP, the Legal Team, bio-engineered super-donkey-caves. Their comrades in arms are legion: the writing team and countless untested rulebooks, the ever vigilant redshirts, and the writers of White Dwarf, to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from other games, their own incompetence, Based Chinaman - and worse. To support Games Workshop in such times is to spend untold billions. It is to support the cruelest and most dickish company imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of sales discounts and Warhammer Fantasy Battle, for so much has been dropped, never to be re-published again. Forget the promise of cheaper digital content and caring about the fanbase, for in the GW HQ there is only profit-seeking, Space Marines and Sigmarines. There is no fun amongst the hobby shops, only an eternity of raging and spending, and the laughter of former employees who left GW to join better companies.
For my Imperial Guard and Cygnar, it is the music that I am listening to over and over when I am playing/collecting them initially. So for these armies, this and this are the two that first jump to mind.
I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...
For my samurai IG I took this song from Shogun Total War 2:
Honestly I saw a Five Finger Death Punch song on another one of these threads and thought if I ever do any regular guard, that's going to be my theme song for them.
Admiral Chester W Nimitz wrote:The war with Japan had been re-enacted in the game rooms here by so many people and in so many different ways, that nothing that happened during the war was a surprise.
For my lil' group of slaaneshi CSM bikers, it has to be "hell patrol" by Judas Priest - seeing as Doomrider was based on th album cover of the album it comes from

++ Heed my words for I am the Herald and we are the footsteps of doom. Interlopers, do we name you. Defilers of our
sacred earth. We have awoken to your primative species and will not tolerate your presence. Ours is the way of logic,
of cold hard reason: your irrationality, your human disease has no place in the necrontyr. Flesh is weak.
Surrender to the machine incarnate. Surrender and die. ++

no, I'd have to say "You're gonna go far kid" by The Offspring....I play guard, and I'd definitely say that the line "dance, f**ker, dance, you never had a chance" would describe most guardsman's odds of survival.
When asked by a German Officer to surrender his forces at Mortain, Lieutenant Kerley of the 30th Infantry Division replied by saying "Go f**k yourself."
How have you served your country today?

Word. I'm putting the first one on Sturmkrieg. I've wanted to do US marches, but they'd be too recognizable here. German marches also don't usually sound too grimdark, unfortunately.

As a discussion grows in length, the probability of a comparison to Matt Ward or Gray Knights approaches one.
