Also IC's can hide in a unit so they will almost never have to take those hits from the instadeath stuff. 2+ lookout sir saves character's lives but the only thing keeping daemons around was their eternal warrior. Also LD9 kills him as if you take any other HQ he can't be your warlord...

Monstrous Creatures can't join units, they aren't allowed to join them.

He's talking about non-Daemon Prince ICs. And MCs aren't prohibited from joining anything - it's the fact they're lacking the Independent Character special rule that prohibits them from joining.
