GW writers also said there is no canon, due to the contradictory nature of most of it, which is why people stick to studio sources (ie Rulebook, codices and white dwarf) for canon, anything outside of it as 'accept if you want to'. This includes Black Library and Forgeworld, thus the whole expansion on the Horus Heresy story.

There's going to be people who disagree with Black Librarys interpretation of the story and characters - and according to GW themselves, they have every right to not accept those interpretations. I was merely pointing out that those interpretations are what is molding the Forgeworld line of models and source books for, at last, a little bit of consistency, even if it is consistency between two non-studio sources. So someone saying 'Forgeworlds Magnus better not have two eyes' is going to be sorely disappointed.

Still wonder how not-Ferrus sliced off the Gorgon's head with that Hammer

hit the body REALLY hard and just left the head hovering in mid-air. Cartoon-style.

In the book Fulgrim takes Ferrus' sword and cuts his head off while ferris is unconscious/KO.

I'm thinking Horus will be hard to do. I don't say this because he will be technically harder than anybody else to sculpt, but because if the slightest thing isn't right about him, everyone will jump on it since he's such an important and well-known character.

However, if one is to truely capture the character of a Primarch; I think Curze would be impossible.
GW/others have sculpted very good faces in the past but to capture Curze and his overall "demeanour": REALLY hard.
They are 28mm faces after all - only so much "depth" one can cast (by depth I mean on all levels, even psychologically).

Well the primarchs so far are more like 42mm as they are head and shoulders above the marines.

Point taken but faces/emotion are still hard to sculpt :(

To all posted about magnus, your all wrong, Magnus has both 1 eye in the middle of his head and a scar where an eye should be. And a hole where no eye has ever been, go read betrayer.

Yep ratius your right, and wrong... Dum dum duuuuuuum lol.
Basically he has the same face as the emperor, it changes, so one person may see him as a "warlord with a scar where his eye should be" another may see "a great chasm where no eye has ever been" and yet another "a great cyclopian eye set into his forehead" to which Magnus would say "stop staring at my eye brother!"

Apharius will be the most difficult because he (they) look so much like regular marines. They'll end up looking too similar to other 28mm marines and thus not very exciting.
