I got the little balls from a brita water filter that I broke open. Then picked out the little balls one-by-one. I sculpted the edges, added glue inside, then poured the little balls in.

That bubbling rash is a terrific idea.

Great, really great conversion.

One idea - look for some tiny glass beads to use for the eyes. Seed beads maybe or something like that.
