I must say, beautiful conversion! Well, disgusting, actually, but very well executed... ehr, you know what I mean.

I believe the tongue might be livened up by adding some ridges to it, a bit like the segments on a maggot or larvae. Stellar work so far though, I'm sure Grandfather Nurgle is quite proud of you and will surely bless you for this.

Honestly I think you should stick to the original shoulderpad...Suits him much more...I think the last one seems a bit skimpy to attach the sign of Nurgle to...

I ,like the idea of having a pad with the symbolic protrusions , but to me it distracts from the cowl and work on the head.

I like the original shoulder pad better. The second one looks a tad small for him.

The centre of a massive brood chamber, heaving and pulsating.

I also suggest the original shoulder pad, with the funnels. Also some octopus tentacles would be awesome.

He looks great by the way!

To be honest I don't think you shoould add anything after the shoulder pad....You run the risk of overcluttering a really nice conversion...

Did a little more work on the fella.

I chose the smaller shoulder pad for a few reasons:
1. The bigger one was too big, the smaller one doesn't cover up as much of the models original detail, and brings the fungus sprouts down a little.
2. The smaller one fits with the models pre existing armor (shoulder pad and grieves) better, the big one was just too Space Marine.
3. The smaller one allows me the chance to do a little more conversion work, and allows you to get a better view of the work done on the spine.

The gash under the Shoulder pad is going to be a big spreading rash of puss balls

That I will fill with these. Broke open a brita water filter. Just have to separate them from the charcoal.

Also did a little work on the axe.

And added some maggots. Can't have a Nurgle Lord with out Maggots

And one on the back of his leg

Modelling looking awesome as usual! That thing is going to be a joy to paint. I knew I would infect you with the plague eventually. haha I'd love to see what you would do for his plaguemarine retinue

I am now accepting commissions for any hobby project! I've been in the hobby since '92. Specializing in traditional brush methods, creating a gritty dark aesthetic. From single character models to entire armies. From individual terrain pieces to entire table tops. From tabletop level to masterclass level painting. I think I'm almost Done.

Now I have to work on my drool / slime technique. Going to add a little drool coming off the tongue and maybe connect the Ooze from his belly to the pool below him.

I originally thought about filling the pool on the base with some water effects, but I've tested filling it with the little green balls, and it looks pretty sick.

Here are some close ups of the last editions.

And a little something to show how his mere presence is corrupting the ground he walks on (and will connect him to the base). I wanted it to look like his leg armor split, unable to hold back the Plague.

I love the bubbling "rash", I am stealing this idea. I have to make a nurgle daemon Prince for a friend of mine and that idea just inspired me.

I felt...my stomach churn. That is, almost literally, a sickeningly awesome model.

Sometimes, I read people on here simply saying "that's disgusting, good job" and think they're trying to be mildly humorous about it... though in all honesty, my reaction was actually to screw up my face is disgust, which is exactly what this miniature should want me to do!

Absolutely incredible job, it's inspired me to do one for myself, despite wanting to avoid Nurgle in my CSM force! How did you do the bubbly spillages?
