I'll give you a spoiler: the last picture will be my butt with a huge bandage on it. But I'll learn, dammit.

Things I have learned tonight:

1)TAGs are not as scary as they sound, so they still need to hug cover. Having intervening terrain is not enough. I guess I'll get to shoot with it someday.

2)Doctors are rough. So much so that they often kill their charges outright. And you thought that 112's axe was for breaking down doors...

3)There is such as thing as too much terrain. I don't have big hands, but I did feel like godzilla knocking down railings and walkways. ;-)

4)There is no reason for me not to field 2 Auxilia. They are dirt cheap and a free heavy flame thrower is nice. I'm thinking Neo Capitolline in fact...

5)Von Skyfury is a fun opponent.

6)I need more HMG and Spitfire... anything above the basic rifle, really.

7)Nisse with a sniper rifle in cover = nice indeed.

AH yes, true, I did wound him with my ARO when I successfully passed 5 of my 6 ARM rolls. The look on your face was priceless.

Von has the pictures, by the way, so no one looks at me while waiting for them! :-)

Glad you guys had a good time Some notes:

1) TAGs are hella scary. It's easy to lose sight of that when you are playing with one, but the whole time your opponent on the inside is saying "f**k f**k f**k f**k how am I going to down that thing?"

2) Pan'O in particular are really rough with doctors. That terrible WIP will cause issues. A lot of times you really need to weigh if using the order to get to the guy is worth trying to recover him. If nothing else a doctor is good for forcing your opponent to waste orders killing unconscious models just incase you can get to them.

3) You have to find a happy medium. Too much terrain can have a similar effect to too little terrain. short range guys suddenly become gods for their point cost.

7) it's not the size of the gun, it's how you use it ;D

I don't think he meant too much terrain as in short range advantage (I think it was pretty balanced)
It was more of an issue of being annoying to try and fit a hand between catwalks and such to move minis =P

Also Mathieu, I think the biggest problem for you was playing too much defensive/in your deployment zone while not having weapons suited for this.

Yeah, I felt like I was going at you with swiss army knives. But I guess I'm in love with the grunts in any army I choose.

Playing defensive, me? The 10 years guard player? Nooooo!!!!!!!!! I had no idea TAGs were that scary, they die relatively easily.

I did get one of my Auxilia into your deployment zone. I agree, the terrain allowed some long sight lines, but 4 inches between catwalks is not enough for my huge paws.

And you need to get some paint on it.
