Being married, I get that pretty much whenever I want.....and for free....
Anyway, my brother got given a huge box of wargaming stuff from a neighbour. He had a quick look through it and was very happy to find around 30 RTB01's, a couple of old dreadnoughts (the ones from the original Space Hulk I think?) and many many other rare niceties. He's been selling them on eBay over the past year or so and has made well over £300 from them. And it keeps on giving.... Good stuff eh?
As for myself, well I bought around 500 M: TG card's for £1 at a Car Boot sale. Which isn't bad.....

recently got a Sabol Motor Pool from the local goodwill.. had been tossed in with the luggage. Had a few foam trays, but were not great, so I tossed those.
still.. motor pool for $2.92 USD is not bad!

Great score, but I'm sure that's just the tip of the iceberg for the deals you've gotten...
I got a similar deal with a large Underwater Kinetics case for $12 at Salvation army. Basically a pro-level watertight, hardshell gear case about 1.5'x2.4'x3' filled with pluck foam that had only been plucked a few places that retails for between 150 and 200 bucks or so. I now have an absolutely bombproof storage solution for my 28mm scale Battlemechs.

Seeing as my dad used to work at the local tip, back when it was legal company policy to take stuff home if you asked the foreman nicely, I used to regularly get loads of thrown away warhammer and stuff. Heck, over half of my collection probably belongs to you guys! 
However, recently, when buying some Skull White spraypaint at my local hobby store, I ended up getting it for £4.10 instead of the usual £7-9 price, because he couldn't see the GW pricing and the closest he could get pricewise was the Revell sprays that were half the size of the GW spraycans! It was great, as I could buy lunch AND put some money towards the next day's party beer with the spare cash. Dare I say it was a good day to be me

I thought I'd gotten rid of all my old mini's years ago, save for a few that I could be rid of (Leman Russ minus Freki and Geri :( an old first ed Bloodthirster and a few others), but I recently found quite a few Terminators (a-cannons, t-hammers, Inquisitor and Ordo Malleus, Captain), plus 49 RTB 01 Marines that a friend had given me that I forgot about when I sold the rest, which are mainly stripped and I'm currently repainting them as Rainbow Warriors ( seriously, before anyone thinks I'm joking ), my first ed Bloodbowl and expansions with only two minis painted (plus my Dark Elf team - all unpainted), a load of old Dark Elf minis, plus a load of other stuff I still haven't catalogued yet...
Also won an auction last week for 14 Eldar Guardians (no heavy weapon though) for £8 including the p+p for restarting my Biel Tan army. Missed out on a metal Avatar and some other stuff due to not making my max bids a few quid higher. Gutted about that too :(

I'm a bargain hunter, but here's my best score yet.
Went to a local gaming auction with my club buddies. We like to paw through the bins of lead that some folks bring. We found a bin of figs for 50 cents each. There were a fair number of good figs in there, but rather than buying them outright,
A friend and I offered him $40 bucks for the bin and he took it!
We dumped out the lead and took out 90 figures that we liked (45 each).
Then I began sorting them. Turns out I had many groups of figs from the same historical eras by the same manufacturers. I divided them up, stripped quite a few of them over a few days and put them up for sale at bargain basement prices.
They sold in one night!
After subtracting shipping costs, we made 130 bucks!
40 buck investment
10 bucks for a gallon of Purple Power
We walked away with 90 free figs and $80 profit!

Got a Fantasy 5th edition rulebook, and Warhammer Seige for a buck apiece once.
Almost got a new-in-box Cygnar Heavy Jack for a similar price due to a computer glitch. Fortunately spotted it and pointed it out to the store owner.

I painted the 9 foot by 4 foot "Dwarf smashing through wall" at the DakkaDakka shop when it moved to Commercial St.
Bout 10 hours of work.
The Wakelins bought me breakfast and lunch. And paid me...I think $400 in store credit.
I grabbed all the things I wanted but would never have bought. Undead Dragon, Wood Elf Dragon, Doom Bell, Lightning Cannon, Morati on Pegasus and tons of other stuff.
Less than 24 hours later my car was broken into (next to Lenscrafters) and everything was stolen.
At least I got some people to see my art.
