I recently went to a FLGS that I hadn't been to with a friend of mine. Imagine my surprise when they had 2 boxes of METAL WoC Chosen, 5 infantry and the command box, sitting there on the shelf for $33 each! For reference, these are only available in Finecast now and at $45 a box. I should have scooped up the command box but I already have Finecast command :/

Have any of you found any awesome deals lately?

I once found a huge amount of OOP 54mm Inquisitor minis on sale with FRP Games. Even allowing for the shipping to the UK and the duty I paid on them, I sold them on eBay for about 50% profit.

This was a good few years ago, now.

I bought two bags of transformers from ebay for £40 in total, split them up and sold them for £120

My favourite was a while ago - the game eye of judgment for ps3 used game cards. My local gamestaion were selling decks of them all off for cheap, £8 down to 8 pence. I bought every pack in the shop - was about 25 decks for £2.

I sold them all on ebay, for between £5 and £15 each

About a half year back, i walked through game/figure/toys/card stores part in Sannomiya when i saw that the small figure shop, who normally only has Japanese figures, toys and model kits, had a box of tactical space marines and a balrog for 1500 yen (less than 15dollars) each, made my week!

Wacky. I haven't been able to sell my metal VVs. Just not popular, I guess.

There's deals and then there's DEALS! In most cases I refuse to pay more than 60% of retail, so it's got to be notably less than that to be a real "Score" IMHO.
Here's my recent finds/deals from the last couple weeks:
-Two AoBR dreadnaughts with no arms in trade for 6 Tau weapons.
-An OOP NIB Mekton Mech for 2 bucks
-5 RT SM scouts for 3 bucks
-2 OOP "Lawsuit" Demonblade Orgs (RT.2ndEd style space Orks that were taken off the market because of GW legal action in the 90's) for 3 bucks.
-Unpainted, In-box set of 7 Bauhaus Etoiles Mortant for 20 bucks. This was only about 40% off the going price, so it was just an OK deal, but I had to have them!
-2 Copplestone mounted knights and two RAFM knights for 7 bucks.

My local hobbytown was getting rid of a ton of warhammer stuff and I spent like 300 dollars on tons of random stuff, everything was 50-75% off.

Best thing was a baneblade for 35 bucks. Second best was a SM battleforce for 50.

They also had 3 battalions of WoC for 30 $ each but I was tapped out by then.

About a year ago I found a guy on craigslist who was selling a SM army for $200. On the way to meet him he casually mentioned he had "some other items" and would I be interested in them, of course I said yes.

When we met his entire car was loaded with items, including Tau, IG, WHFB and 2000 points of nicely painted Orks.

He had owned a LGS a while back which had shut down and everything had been sitting in his garage for a year.

I paid him $380 for the lot. It took me 6 weeks to sell it piece by piece on ebay, eventually I cleared $1500 and kept the Orks as my new army.

I've been looking for a deal like that ever since!

Best one was an old Tyranid army box (the one with the Ltd. Ed. Lictor) that had been sitting in the store for a year, maybe two, and the staff were desperate to get rid of it. Friend of mine (on my behalf) talked 'em down to less than half price.

The best part? This was a GW store.

I once won 2nd place in a beauty contest.

Craigslist is a den of thieves - I'm sure I've told this story before but I bought a Bretonnian army for $150 from some punk and it turned out to be $1,000 worth of pro-painted models. Obviously stolen. The card of the studio that painted it was still in the bag so I contacted them and was able to get it returned to the original owner. He paid me the $150 so it was all good (I'm sure he'd collected insurance money for all other stuff stolen from his car as well so I think he came out ahead too).

Well done! good on you.

I just paid for a rather large deal through Swap Shop. We'll see how it goes. Remote deals are always interesting. You never know what you're in for until it shows up at your home.
