170pts for a rune priest? Why not just bring two?

If I brought two I would have to end up making space for the other in another pod. Any suggestions?

Only reason I dont send the second one with the long fangs is because I dont want flyers tearing him apart.

I will post a new list later this evening with the list redone with the TDA rune priest in with the termies and we will see what we can mash up.

How will fliers tear him apart? It's so incredibly rare that there isn't LOS blocking terrain. My RP just hides behind a wall casting prescience like a bitch.
The only time he dies is if someone manages to assault. If they do that I've made a mistake anyway.

Alright so this is the revised list with 2 rune priest. The divination one casts prescience on the two fang squads for support fire. The other rune priest goes right at the enemy with JOTWW. 28 points any suggestions? I could add another long fang with missile to the rune priest with divinations squad?

Also say someone passes a psychic test withinn range of both rune priests. Would both have the chance to nulify the power since its two separate units? I know the rune priest cant use a deny the witch and his runic weapon to deny a power.

Personally, I like the other list a bit more, but this one looks good too. My only concern is the efficacy of the four termies, which I've voiced previously.

With the extra points, I'd definitely put another LF with your RP and take full advantage of that. Make sure to take the army you're going against into consideration when choosing your RP powers, JOTWW won't be as effective against higher initiative armies.

Some quick tips on Jaws.

It goes through models, not squads. Very useful for picking out Power Klaws and such. Only the first model makes the DTW roll, so run it through someone without a Hood/not a pyscher/etc first. Always take it versus Crons, Orks, and Nids.

Also, Master of Runes really isn't worth it with codex powers. Most of the RP's powers are shooting attacks, you can only cast one psychic shooting attack no matter how many warp charges you have. Now if you're running the free cover power (not sure why my mind is blanking) or BRB powers, it's up to you, you can get utility.

And lastly, the Chooser can really mess with your opponent's head if he's using Infiltrators, it's fun.

I can't believe I didn't mention Chooser of the Slain! Anonymou5 is right. CotS denies enemy infiltration within 18" and gives you +1 BS for shooting attacks (which include psykic abilities) if the target is in LoS with the Chooser model. It's ALWAYS on my RP.

Oh yea Im surprised I didnt mention the chooser! The idea with the termies is that they will come down and just combi plasma something to death and then the termies will be a big threat as I will use them to just chew through easy targets and they will also eat a lot of shots that will allow my grey hunters and TWC move up. The reason I dont use PA combi plasma WG is that once they use their shots up they wont be much of a threat. But since they are in termie armor and have power swords they will still be a bit of a threat. and take a lot of shots. Since one of my rune priests will be with them they will also be a big threat. Im just trying to take heat off my hunters and TWC.

That sounds reasonable, and is really no different than with Arjac, just different tactics to do the same thing. Your enemy should indeed have a tough decision as the TWC is going to get there FAST.

Depending on who Im playing Im probably going to send the melta hunters in first if theirs vehicles and pop transports and then send the plasma next to kill the guys that hopped out. Or if im playing a foot army I will go straight plasma.

I do like the first list a lot as I believe the TWC will really be key in getting rid of hordes but I play nids here and there, started playing against eldar more, and I play against chaos marines and daemons very often so that anti psyker is pretty key.
