My Dakkajet killed a Trygon Prime (from full) in one round of shooting. Granted it was Waaagh! turn, but 18 shots causing 6 unsaved wounds with TL BS3 (effectively), even strength v. toughness, and 3+ armor was still a heck of a lucky turn.

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

I had a unit of 5 GK terminators and an attached Grand Master. Unit of Fire Dragons rolled up in a Wave Serpent. They dropped out and got 8 hits.

Terminators passed every invuln save. Ate the Fire Dragons, Wave Serpent, and the Falcon carrying the Farseer.

At a tourney back in january, my mega warboss and retinue of 5 mega nobz proceeded to take out 4 land raiders & 2 vindicators over the course of the game, all of which exploded and (dice gods on my side) took out the majority of the units inside the land raiders! Only lost 1 mega nob through it all! Suffice to say I won that round

That was the first real time I had used the MANZ, and never looked back as I have kept them in my main army list ever since!

my fire warriors went toe to toe with 3 blood angel assault marine squads in assault and proceeded to survive 10 consecutive rounds of combat. During said combat they proceeded to kill a marine or 2 per turn and save every wound he caused on them.

After this had gone on for a while I decided to throw my crisis suits in to finish em off to which they were all killed and shadowsun ran off the board! The combat finally ended when the blood angels players command squad eventually showed up in there storm raven disgusted that they're brethren hadn't finished the job already and wiped the fire warriors off the table!

Funniest game ever!

I'm aware I already posted in this thread, but I just realised that while not a unit, lasguns always over-perform. It's probably because I rarely expect anything out of them, so when they do kill things I'm very happy. However that last "whatever I might as well roll it" lasgun shot seems to be the most powerful out there.
I emptied 7 plasma rounds and a lascannon into farsight on one wound, only for a stray lasgun shot from a unit with 9/10 members out of range to take off his last wound.

I've got two.
The Green Baron, my favorite Deffkopta, has had two moments. (Both in 5th ed.) Once, he turbo boosted for the 3+ cover in a 1500 point game on turn one. He fired every single gun he had save one rail gun at my kopta... and failed to kill him, inflicting only one wound. He then blew up a hammerhead.
Another time, he dropped a bigbomm on a unit of 8 Ork Warbikers with his way boss included (in a 1000 point game) and caused three wounds. They broke and ran off the board.

The other one is my Mek, lucky. (No, not a Big Mek.) He killed a helldrake once. By himself. With one shot.

Veteran Wolf Guard Squad Leader

Pacific NW

Through out 5th edition my strangely equipped Wolf Scouts consistently did more to win my games than any other unit. Here's the load out:

Wolf Scouts - 121 points
x1 Wolf Scout w/ Sniper Rifle, Bolt Pistol, Mark of the Wulfen
x1 Wolf Scout w/ Meltagun, Bolt Pistol, Power Weapon (Sword)
x1 Wolf Scout w/ Sniper Rifle, Bolt Pistol, Power Weapon (Axe)
x2 Wolf Scout w/ Bolt Pistol, Close Combat Weapon

I usually had this guy attached as well:

Wolf Guard Pack Leader - 48 points
x1 Wolf Guard w/ Combi-Melta, Wolf Claw, Meltabombs

So less than 125 points, or 169 points in games bigger than 1500 points. I should note that in 5th edition I Infiltrated almost as often as I had 'em go OBEL.

Some highlights:

- Combined with a Chooser of the Slain and the forces in my Deployment Zone, they prevented Chaos Infiltrators from setting up in any effective manner by deploying aggressively forward. They managed to advance into a unit of Chosen on Turn 1, defeating them with a single casualty at the end of the Chaos player's turn, then Melta a Defiler. The enemy Havocs had suffered small losses from fire from my Long Fangs and took out all but two Scouts, the Meltagun and the 'Wulfen, who then drove them off the board.

- They Pinned an Eldar Pathfinder so that some Grey Hunters could route them, and then charged into a group of Warlocks. These Warlocks also happened to have two enemy Farseers with them. Enough loses were caused that the unit had to fall back. They were never able to regroup from the savagery of the attack, both Farseers running off the board by the 3rd Turn!

- Operating behind enemy lines, they snuck up on a unit of Guardians entrenched in a ruin building. They managed to drive the 20 man Guardian unit from the battle field in a single round, defeat a unit of Howling Banshees that counter-attacked, and then disabled the Wave Serpent they road in. Did I mention that they then denied the objective in the ruins to the enemy forces?

- Against Renegades from a Blood Angels Successor Chapter, they Infiltrated behind a hill topped with a ruined building. Advancing quickly and taking position in the Ruins, they were able to disable the front Razorback (took out the TL-Plasma Gun and Immobilized it) of a convoy of enemy troops trying to outflank the entrenched Grey Hunters. The delay cost the Blood Angels player Two Turns of movement with the two vehicles behind the first Razorback. Throwing enemy plans further into disarray, they charged Commander Dante and the Jump Infantry he was leading from behind when Dante engaged my Grey Hunters (hurray Move Through Cover). If it weren't for the plethora of no-save attacks the fight would have gone very differently.

And one of my favorites:

- Against Imperial Guard, they came in from the flank and succesfully took out an enemy Basilisk and Leman Russ Battle Tank from the rear. They took some casaulties and fell towards the Space Wolf lines (which meant running through the Imperial Guard lines) and managed to take out the Battle Cannon and hull mounted Heavy Bolter of a second Leman Russ Battle Tank while they retreated. Once through enemy lines, they regrouped and charged (hurray 3" + 6" + 6" movement!) into a Combined Squad of 20 Guardsmen who had failed to Get Back Into The Fight! after taking cover from my own shooting (Murderous Hurricane + 2 Plasma Cannons + Bolter fire and I killed 3 Guardsmen thanks to the 2++ Cover Save; yeesh). They kept the IG blob engaged for two more turns, and thus on Turn 5 the IG squad broke, falling back towards their table edge and leaving the Objective they were camping open for my rather weakened Grey Hunters to claim.

I'm really bummed that the rule changes killed any chance this unit has of being this awesome. Several of these games they were just proxied because I wasn't sure it was worth buying models. They ended up performing so well that I went to great length to convert some Scouts. Still need to paint them and half my army mind you, but all well. They won't be seeing the table for a while in 6th edition...

Playing Ravenwing at 1000 pts plus a buddies tau at 1000pts vs 2000 pts of grey knights. I take a darkshroud just to try it out, upgraded with assault cannon for fun. Grey knights fly on with two stormravens after killing all our tau AA on turn 1. We are winning the ground war, but stormravens are messing up my buddies gunline. I unload my meltaguns, plasma talons, the works into his stormravens, nothing, Darkshroud shoots raven 1, hits, six to pen is a pen, immobilized. That raven was going to turn and kill an almost full strength squad of tau, forced to fly off the table due to locked velocity. Next turn, other stormraven and a grandmaster are all that is left on the table after his other flyer ran off. grandmaster dies to shooting, I dump more melta and plasma talon shots into this stormraven, knock off a hull point. Darkshroud steps up to the plate, two hits, one pen, explodes. Maybe it did not win the game, we pretty much had him at that point, but I will never underestimate the shooting of a flying statue again.

Storm trooper squad, plasma pistol, power weapon, plasma gun x2. Deep strike and does not scatter and blast open a razorback of some sort. Wound two occupents inside, one SM dies. Librarian and 4 SM are in the crater. His turn, shoots at storm trooper squad, and I loose one. his librarian casts some power of some sort, perils and takes a wound. Assault, kill a SM in overwatch, make all saves that I can, and loose one trooper to the librarian. He losses all but the librarian during my initiative step. During my assault phase, kill the Librarian, not loosing a trooper. Remainder of squad keeps going, killing a few things, and eventually take out the SM cpt on a bike. Just down to the SGT at that point, but, he finaly died to some bolter shot.

I think that SGT was pissed he got overlooked for SM recruitment. Never did that well again.

A surprised blood angels player learned the hard way that 5 assault marines + his captain were no match for my crisis commander + 2 bodyguards.

2 marines died to overwatch, hammer of wraith did nothing, he challenged the commander with T5 2+/4++ FnP and the str 10 AP 1 onager gauntlet.... it didn't go over well at all - lost his entire squad just to cause 1 wound.

A similar thing happened against a dark eldar player with baron + some hellions.

I now take an allied detachment of tau with my farsight enclave just for the iridium commander (I also save 1 pt per FW since allied tau don't need the bonding knives )

Most people will say this model is not weak, but in a game against Dark Eldar he more than made up his points:

Dark Eldar opponent had a full squad of Wyches with attached Succubus. Right in front of them on foot, a full squad of Warriors led by a Haemonculus (no idea what wargear anybody had). My one little 90 pt Doom of Malan'tai Rages, strolls up and through a combination of Spirit Leech and close combat wipes out both squads. Meanwhile in the opposite corner, my Tervigon charges into a squad of Warriors holding an objective. I do a single wound (under Warp Speed with Crushing Claws, 10 attacks, 3 hit, 1 wounds) and sweep them. He conceded having three virtually unharmed Flyers and I only had lost a couple small squads of spawned Termagants.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

My Striking Scorpions Exarch (usually use the Karandras model) lost his whole squad after they murdered about 30 guardsmen

He then proceeded to RAMPAGE through my opponent's backfield advancing from unit to unit. I passed at least 35-40 3+ armor saves between 2 shooting phases that he was moving to charge a new unit

Ended up with roughly 25 guardsman kills, 3 full autocannon teams, a command squad, and a leman russ BT

Shortly after the 6th edition Chaos codex came out, I played an unexpectedly lulzy game against Space Wolves. Back then I thought that loading 8 Possessed with the MoS and IoE in a Land Raider along with a Terminator Slaanesh Lord with Lightning Claws and a Power Fist was a good idea. I cracked open two enemy Rhinos with Lascannon fire on the first turn, and on the second moved my Land Raider 6in, and moved my Possessed out of it 6 in to assault the exposed Grey Hunters. The Possessed failed their 5 in charge distance even with the fleet re-roll and were slaughtered to the man by Long Fangs and bolter fire.

It turns out, that despite the crushing failure of my Death Star, the real MVP of the game was their Land Raider. My opponent neglected to bring any Melta weapons to the table at all, and relied solely on his 4x Missile, 1x Lascannon Long Fangs for anti-tank. I kept the Raider in cover, and blasted my Lascannons at a squad of Drop Podded Wolf Guard Termies. That lone Land Raider ended up wiping them all out, its HB alone ended up killing 2 terminators before turning its attention to a second Termie squad. By the end of the game, that Land Raider was the only thing I had left aside from a small squad of Noise Marines on an objective and a Heldrake. Even though I lost the game, it was a major moral victory to see the Raider roll everything in its path.

Back in 4th two fire warriors beat 2 lictors in close combat,
In 5th my deamons went against a tailored grey knight list and tabled them turn three (love those old op flamers),
And most reacently those same flamers being charged by banshees failed to hurt them with overwatch then beat them and ran them down in cc.
Of course there's always the other side where my bloodthirster died to 6 gaurdsman in cc (bad rolling big time fluffed everything) or my lord of change gets singled out first turn by the warp table and going home early.

The other time was when my Grey Knight Grandmaster killed the Nightbringer, a Monolith and enough necrons to make them phase out and me win the game with the rest of ym army being pretty much tabled on turn one. This was in 3rd though.

My DV Chaplain model killed 7 GK terminators in a single assault phase on his first outing, with a power axe. Sadly that was literally the only thing that went well in that game, I killed very little else with my entire 1750 point army.

Also, last week my ~160-point 6-man BT assault squad killed a LRR, a GK strike squad guy and 3-4 Vanguard veterans before dying.

Guardsmen Marbo usually makes up for their points by at least double in every game. Hell in my most recently one I took over an enemy bastion and kill Vulkan and a storm raven using the lascannon up top all thanks to Marbo just showing up. Most other times it is them showing up and waxing most of a terminator squad or some other large unit of expensive models.
