Centaur's still Open Topped, don't see how much of a problem that is.

Are heavy/special weapons allowed to fire out of a moving tank?
So the special rule was obsolete anyway? I'm confused.

IIRC heavy weapons could be fired out of a Chimera due to the Open Topped rule when the hatches were open.

Yes. Whether or not the tank has moved has nothing to do with how many fire points it has. They may have to snap fire, however, if the firing model is not relentless.

Not obsolete since it would have allowed you to fire a heavy weapon at full BS even when the vehicle moved, but I can understand not wanting to deal with the rules for making it work. TBH it doesn't really matter anyway since none of the units that can take a Centaur can take heavy weapons.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Grenadiers in the updated Siege list can take Heavy Stubbers.

But they never will.

The IA1ed2 armoured list vets can take a lascannon. It was actually a decent buy if you could hull mount it, what with the tank hunters, BS4, and general grizmond giving rerolls to hit.

I'm confused now. Can I put Grenadiers with their heavy flamer in the Centaur and have them actually use it, yes or no? Heavy Flamer, yes, because it is Storm 1 and can be fired after moving? Anything else, no?

Sorry I derailed the thread. I thought I had it all figured out but losing this rule has confused me, what it was goos for, anyway.

The Centaur is just a normal open-topped vehicle, and follows the normal rules for shooting out of open-topped vehicles.

A 6" (combat speed) move and yes flamers can shoot.

Anything over that then no. everything is snap shooting, so no templates :(
