If I might be so bold as to suggest some sort of running water effect coming off Daddy.
This would concrete the feeling of emergence as though he'd only just ambled out of the ocean.

I'm always up for suggestions, and that's a great one. I'm planning on draping some seaweed off him after I'm done painting, but I need to experiment with it. I've read online that you can take string, put small pieces of tissue paper on it and then soak that in a mix of green paint and PVA glue to make some reasonable seaweed. Before I drap paint-soaked tissue paper over my nicely painted model I want to test it on something else, though. (if anyone has any experience making seaweed, by all means - tell me about it)

Adding water dripping off the seaweed and running down the body sounds awesome.

So...6 months later and it's finally done. I ended up repainting all of the flesh from the green color I originally had started and went more with a pale, necrotic color. I was afraid that with the white armor it wouldn't have goo contrast, but I'm happy with the way it turned out. It looks like some dead thing that's been sitting on the ocean floor. I tried a few different types of seaweed and couldn't find one that I liked...maybe that will be a future addition.

It's just... So amazing. Good work.

You know what, maybe I'll start that anti-eldarflesh diet I've been talking about...
