There's plenty of use for Jain Zar, even without grenades. I'm with the others who say people won't always be in cover; send her at a unit advancing up midfield, or keep her as a counter-attack unit for those drop-pod assault marines. The only thing that may hold me back from giving her a go is that I love Scorpions so much that I haven't yet bought any other Banshees. And yes, I know they can mix Aspects now, but it doesn't seem right lol.

As far as no love for Maugan Ra, I think he's great. However, he shoots what I think is only a decent gun (not awesome), and is AP3 in CC. He is a great force multiplier, but when compared to the other options I think he just lags behind a bit.

I allways run Eldrad and a farseer, but thats for my wraith army.
This has all changed with the new book though.

If im not taking wraiths, i may just run P.lords and large units of aspects instead.
Would be nice to see an eldar army that runs something other than jetbikes, farseers and warlocks.

Heresy!!! Just kidding, I couldn't say it better myself. I know I'm talking crazy but I was honestly thinking of just taking the Avatar in one of my list, oh yeah and also bring along 3 wraithknights. In my build they would be 840 or so points. Essentially one of each. Then bring two big 20 man guardian squads wrapping the avatar and taking advantage of his fearless skill, and have some scorpions either infiltrating or bringing up the rear, along with some warp spiders jumping all over the place causing mayhem.

Baharroth is a sexy, shoeless god of war. I've won games with his AoE blind rendering large amounts of an enemy army unable to do anything but snapfire.

I just hope that they A) Get a decrease and B) Can split off into units of Wraithguard or Wraithblades.

I doubt the former, but I think the latter is a given.

They're ICs, they go where they want.

Funny how every HQ option has been mentioned exept Yriel. Nerfed hero, anyone?

Personally I would always take atleast one spirit seer. The chance to get Protect/Jinx alone is tempting enough to pay the cheap points.

And the moment my Eldar get in to close combat they have failed, so lots of CC oriented HQ is just out of the question.

Yes, it IS a big deal. She is a demigod of battle, she should come with grenades!

A fluff argument that ignores the actual evidence? Well Played?

Considering Eldar have no assault vehicles that means the banshees will be running up to those tacs, who have AMBLE time to get into cover. Yes your moving 6+D6+4 which is fast, but not faster then a jump pack squad.

Yep, that's the complication in running her. Has nothing to do with lack of grenades, of course....

How come you get to assume he wont be in cover? And how come YOU get to shoot and he doesn't?

I didn't assume anything. Reread my post. Practice your reading comprehension.

A ten man Tac squad with plasma and flamer is very cheap and puts 6 bolter wounds on the unit, 1/2 plasma and I Haven't include the Sergeants frag grenade or the flamer. So if you tank on Jain she loses 2 wounds, maybe third to overwatch. Dead Jain.

So, you're assuming your opponent is a moron...and then go on to make an argument based off that assumption. Interesting tactic.

Also what if she was charging terminators in cover? Jaiai Zar dies to powerfists at the same time she kills about 2/3 Terrms.

First, if terms are standing in cover, you don't charge them, you shoot them.

Second, the Power Fist has to hit on a 5+ and has to do 3 wounds because she has Eternal Warrior. So you are looking at about 11 Power Fist attacks to kill her. Not undoable, but unlikely. In other words, read the actual rules before you make inane posts.

Unless you have a great way to keep your P.Lord alive to do its work and make its points back *Such as Veil of tears, seer council, sky leap, infiltrate or a big ass gun* then face it, they are just very expensive beat sticks without grenades.

Nice way to tie in the lack of grenades at the end and pretend you succefully argued against the lack of grenades as a being meaningful, which of course you failed miserably to do.
