There are no reserves in the standard "Combat Patrol" mission scenario. Deployment is done when each person's complete force in on the board.

You see the problem with hull points vs. Armour value is the difference between a rhino and a predator, both have the same number of hull points but only the rhino is legal and that is what we want is light vehicles allowed, heck a eldar raider is disallowed with the hull points rule and is paper thin. And for all of you nay sayers, this ruleset that i have devised is strongly based on the original 40k in 40 minutes rulesand i am trying to keep within the original intent of the rules, that is why no reserves or deepstrike, the army is supposed to be. Small scouting contingent outside of the main force so it has less access to the toys that would be needed elsewhere.

You may use anything I post, just remember to give me credit if used somewhere else.

That's how my group has always understood 40k In 40 Minutes to be like. We play it like two small flanking forces, or two recon units that bumped into each other during a larger battle a distance away. That's why some things like heavy vehicles or fliers aren't too common during Patrol games with my group, as we take the standpoint that those units are needed in the larger battle somewhere else (which happens quite a bit in warfare. The military can't provide air support to your platoon because it's needed somewhere else more urgently)
