Yep they were filmed on this tiny island I call home - Malta

Saw this movie yesterday.....

It wasn't world war Z, it was like watching the first week of 28 days later.

I enjoyed the movie up until the last 30 mins where it really slows down and loses the global feel.

I finished reading the book and the film version was a lot different. I really hope no one was going in expecting a faithful adaptation. It is about as close to the book as coal is to diamonds.

Fun fact, the scenes for Black Hawk Down were not filmed in Mogadishu.

Yea, but we kind of knew that when the first preview popped up with surf zombies. It did have a couple of scenes kind of like the book and

Er...I presume you mean you saw it with your dad? I don't believe movies have evolved yet to a point where its "movie-magic" can somehow give it the ability to conceive children.

I liked the airplane scene. Thats a bad day at black rock scenario for sure.
I also liked the scene where all the planes are lined up and bailing as the sea of zombies attack.

There was so much more in the book that they could have used for the film, I just hope they don't try and make a trilogy out of it

There's a sequel already underway. IIRC, they wanted to franchise it, but wanted to wait to see if it made any money first. After the first weekends massive ticket sales, they greenlit a sequel.

I'll be happy with a sequel if they go to Russia or India.

I am hoping for a sequal. Kinda cool for a zombie movie that focused less on just people trying to survive it day by day, but be pro-active in stopping the Apocalypse
