Will do john, I'll watch it.

If your don't make the pledge goal and based on some of the feedback in this thread, I may consider splitting Golem arcana into two games. The first would be completely digital and available as an ap, that way you can still make use of all the software with characters and golems being unlocks or cheap to buy. The second would be completely board with real terrain and hard copy books, selling painted models or unpainted in sets with a discount, IF all other funding runs out for the digital/model hybrid game you have now.

All our energy at the moment is in making what we're pitching to folks for the campaign, though reflection and adaptation is always in the cards.

Our prime initiative being getting the word out, and having as many folks do so as well.

In other news, should we be funded and we get any sculpt revisions on the mini's - I will make sure to post the highest resolution pics we can make for you folks.

Any questions on the project that didn't get answered for you on the KS page or Jordan's AMA?

Fire away, I'll field what I can.

Thanks,
John

Big Update:

Funding Bonus
As a special “thank you” for helping us reach our $500,000 base funding level, we present you with the Amulet of Numenesh!

The amulet is a special limited-edition wearable item just for Kickstarter Backers at the Tribesman level and above. Yet Numenesh the All-Seeing would not grant this bonus merely for show! When placed on the game board,
The Amulet of Numenesh will reveal different fictional secrets of the Ancient Ones in different play sessions - secrets that cannot be seen by the naked eye. When the game ships, we will slowly reveal the history of the Ancient
Ones through other relics that we will hide on the battlefield for you to discover during play.

Elite Units Added to our Optional Menu
Many factions in Golem Arcana boast Elite Units with their own unique backstories and tactical abilities. These Elite Units of four pre-painted plastic figures each sport their own special edition paint & statistics and come with
an Elite Unit banner for their bases to call attention to their special status on the battlefield.

Elite Units will have separate army point values than standard figures to ensure game balance.

Today, we’re revealing the FIRST OF TWO such Elite Units that we are adding to the Golem Arcana Optional Items Menu. Because we are adding these groups of pre-painted plastic figures to the list of optional items,
everyone who backs Golem Arcana at the Lancer Level ($375 and above) will get them as part of our “including ALL additional pre-painted Golem figures UNLOCKED” offer.

And now, we introduce the first of our two Elite Units: the Jade Guardians of the Lower Hamazi Empire. In a future update, we’ll introduce our second Elite Unit, from the Crown of Uruk.

Stretch Goals
Spoiler:

And New Reward Tier
And finally, we’re announcing a new reward tier, the $4,000 Celestial level. This reward level is for the Backer who wants to personally take part in the creation of Golem Arcana. At the Celestial level, in addition to all the
other cool stuff, you’ll work with our creative team to create a new faction in the game world. And, if you can make it to Kirkland, WA, you can spend the afternoon and evening at Harebrained Schemes World Headquarters
working with us in person and playing Golem Arcana together.

Enjoy.

Kicktraq's projection, although not always reliable, has this falling significantly short:

Although the trend (a different graph) is just below 500K still, I think it's less reliable than the projection even...

I like the projection chart a lot better than the trend.

Having said that, the projection looks at previous day data. After the news of kickstarter exclusive and the stretch goals the projection tomorrow will be higher from the influx of pledge $$$s today. It should also help to bend or at least flatten the trend curve.

Not sure if it is enough to get this to funding, but they do still have plenty of time, so I wouldn't be too worried yet. The add on exclusives will suck money from current pledgers and the list of stretch goals may lure in new pledgers (which is what this and any project really needs.)

A lot of wood to chop, but there's still time. I think the issue here is one of KS perception. Purely observational, but a lot of people don't put the money in until a project is funded or close to funding. It seems if a project can't get over the 50% hump in the first day or two, it makes it very difficult to fund at all.

If the baseline had been set at 250K instead of 500K, I'm betting the project would be much closer to 500K at this point. KS seems at times to be a grand psychological experiment rather than a business model.

the minis have a certain charm to them but still not sold on the way the game is supposed to be played. Don't get me wrong i think its good that companies are taking a chance and that technology is being meshed. But maybe despite being relatively young (late 20's) i have an attachment to books and the such

Kicktraq is an interesting set of graphs, but I've watched those projections change so much over the last week, it can't forcast the dynamic changes Kickstarter allows for with updates, additional reward tiers, ect.

It does however show some measure of the response to those dynamics though, such as the changes when we posted the latest update last night:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1613260297/golem-arcana/posts/607483

If you like the idea, but have not backed yet, we'd love to know why so we can address your concerns!

Thanks again for the support folks, and the continued conversation. The Dakka Dakka forums have been incredibly constructive and civil, we appreciate the feedback.

Update:

Second Elite Unit Added to our Optional Items Menu
Here’s our 2nd Golem Arcana Elite Unit with its own unique backstory and tactical abilities. Again, these Elite Units of four pre-painted plastic figures each sport their own special edition paint & statistics and come
with an Elite Unit banner for their bases to call attention to their special status on the battlefield.

Remember, everyone who backs Golem Arcana at the Lancer Level ($375 and above) will get them as part of our “including ALL additional pre-painted Golem figures UNLOCKED” offer.

I definitely hope that the project will be funded. $375 seems to be the sweetest spot if you can afford it.

I'm not disappointed they are sold out, amazed, but not disappointed. None of that is of interest to me.

Hey guys, A lot of people asked about t shirts which went up today

Spoiler:

Also they unveiled the gudanna storm weaver which look pretty bad-ass

A lot of people wanted lower entry tiers as well, they've just put in the 20 dollar "ally level" which gets a lore pdf and allows for add-on options

there's also the 40 dollar mercenary level which allows you just to get a war sprite, ogre and titan of your choice at a discount which is good if you have a friend who is getting the game.

cheers, Redend

(edit)

some people also wanted a decent shot showing the actualy sculpt quality, managed to find this

another update just added

this basically means that all of the digital content of the game is unlocked for free to kickstarter backers, which depending on final pricing could be a pretty big saving

edit, theyve just shown the new gudanna colossus as well which is pretty cool

That's a render as far as I can tell, as are most of the images on this page... granted, it's a well-done render, but that's very different than seeing a physical piece.

I do love this model you posted earlier:

Yeah that's the earth fall it's a nice design, it kinda reminds me if a gorilla for some reason

On the renders it seems the models ( real ones) are quick 3d printed prototypes so not the full cast quality they are going for, it's why they are reluctant to show have pics of the current ones,, so I thought it may be better if I find some of the actual renders

Update:

Gudanna Valkali Colossus, for those that love big ladies.

And a New Kickstarter Exclusive Offer.

Upgrade a basic Knight with one of these powerful digital warriors! "Named" Golem Knights have a unique special ability, allowing for more tactical options on the battlefield. In addition to their special ability,
Blood Knights also provide a connection to the Ancient Ones, allowing you to add their powers to the mix. Ancient Ones grant blessings, curses, and miracles, expanding your tactical options even further.

In order to achieve to above unlock people need to pledge at the Golem Knight ($750), Blood Knight ($1000) or Ancient One level ($1500). I'm not really sure what to say about this idea, its a curious one....

Enjoy.

I was hoping this one would have done better. I like the models a lot. I think they really should have gone for a straight up game with a printed rulebook first to have a lower funding goal, and add the electronic stuff as stretch goals.
