The last Ard Boyz, 1st game at Finals in MN. I brought my Driagowing, my opponent, I think it was NorbutheDestroyer, brought Necrons, the Old Dex. I hadn't played them or against them in years. Long story short there was an AV14 wall of dual Monothliths that I couldn't hurt without Hammerhand and he had Parihas out of LOS behind them meaning I'd need to make that LD on a 7 to cast it anyway. Did I mention those impenetrable AV14 Tanks were just tankshocking their way to plop on the main objective vs my now LD7 non fearless army.

I thought I had made though the first two rounds and drove out to MN to get Massacred 1st game at finals. Luckily I kept it to a Minor loss and came back very strong to finish 3rd. But, that was an ugly ugly scenario.

Back at the beginning of 6th, I was in the last match of a tournament in a really close game. I had a (5th Ed Codex) Librarian with Tactical Squad in the open sitting on the deciding objective with the 5+ cover/invulnerable power cast on them, and my opponent was in his last shooting phase. I'd done a lot of damage to him and his only real effective unit left was a squad of Plasma Cannon Devastators, who killed the Tacticals until only the Libby was left, with two wounds left to resolve.

It was the last turn. I just needed to pass one of these 5+ saves to put me near the top of the end rankings.

I failed both.
