Well if you want a good game with WWII Soviets then may I suggest Unity of Command.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Well I think I heard there were fixes to rome 2: total war but I can't say I'm really a fan of that type of combat. I usually prefer guns of all kinds to the stuff you see in pre-gunpowder era games.

For me I will get enemy within so that's about 20 USD to play with for sure and maybe more if 'enemy within' goes on steam sale depending on how things go.

You should get Darksouls instead.

Meh I caved. Thanks to peer pressure I got dawn of war 2 retribution and the tau commander last stand DLC. The steel legion add on didn't really do anything for me. The word bearers looked cool but I don't think i'll play chaos marine much anyway. The single player hero ability add-ons sounded interesting. However it was either that or the tau command bundle and then I chose the tau commander bundle. I might get more depending on the steam sale continuing and depending what happens with 'xcom: enemy within'. I have to make sure I have enough money for that above everything else.

I swear I think those two have a hate-crush on each other sometimes.

I just bought Godus as it is 50% off even though I know that I will be disappointed with it.

CoH 2 has also been uninstalled for good after trying (once again) to enjoy the damn game.

Castlevania and Farcry 3 on sale this time around, score!

There was a third game I wanted, but now I can't think of it...oh well. The fact the castlevania finally went on sale is good enough for me.

I enjoyed it while I could, but it's a buggy mess. As in im stuck about 3/4 through the game because no matter what i do, the game crashes after a certain cinema. Annoying to no end.

Also lara apparently has some crazy high stamina. Her getting banged up the whole game and barely slowing down kind of got old.

Got the Civ 5 expansions, quite enjoying them.

I picked up Endless Space Gold. Don't have much of an idea what I'm doing yet, but it's very pretty.

Ended up getting Dust: An Elysian Tale and The Stanley Parable. Also got the two DLC packs for Sins of a Solar Empire because they were 50% off.

Yes! Get it! Get it now!

As someone who had never played a Tomb Raider game before (other than the demo for the original one, and I didn't enjoy that), I walked into Tomb Raider with no exptectations beyond the knowledge that just about every Tomb Raider since Tomb Raider 3 has been lambasted by the critics, yet for some reason this one was getting rave reviews.

Well the reviews weren't wrong. The game is amazing. Totally blew me away.

Ended up getting Tomb Raider, it is indeed a great game, Lara-cruelty aside. The devs must really hate her or something with all those gruesome deaths she suffers in those quick-time events. Arrow to the knee followed by one through the throat. Getting impaled on a metal spike if you do something wrong. Damn. Also, she does get smacked and beaten around a lot, made me wince a few times.

But that aside, I liked it a lot, good platforming, decent enough combat, a funny upgrade system (Oh look, I've turned a Japanese Type 2 SMG into an AK47 using some scraps I found lying around) and amazingly brutal finishing moves that range from rocks to the face, putting a gun to a guy's head execution style and unloading your assault rifle into someone point blank range. I also got a DLC tomb and an optional outfit and am now looking at 100% it, which is rare enough for me as I hardly ever do that, but when the game works well enough with good controls, why not? Funny enough, the last game I 100% was Tomb Raider Legend, which was a good revival of a horrible franchise sadly followed by two abysmal sequels.

I also finally played through Bioshock Infinite, which well, mediocre combat and pointless vigors aside, has a story that was decent enough, though it is backed by a great setting and hell, I love to brutally murder clansmen and other types of hoity-toity racist Americans. Biggest highlight for me though was Elizabeth, who wasn't a burden to have around (As more than one person put it, you are not escorting her, she is escorting YOU!), but also fun to walk around with and see interact with things.
