Hi Wulfbrigade, here are some pics of the vets I have so far. This was the first time I have tried the "power flux" look on power weapons, I tried two different techniques and I'm fairly pleased with both. Some of the lines are a touch off but I am building this army to regularly battle with so I'm really just after a decent tabletop standard, so I'm happy enough with the over all look.

As for the shoulder pads mate they are from an online company called "shapeways" I think they basically make them on a 3d printer. Obviously the quality is not as good as a GW made pad would be, but its the only way I could get a SoM shoulder pads, and to be honest I think they look pretty decent.

Excellent work my friend. The Chrome effect on the Thunder hammer is sweet. Also like the "bionic" helms. SOM are from Iron Hands stock correct?

Hi mate, thanks that's really nice of you to say. Yeah the SoM are an iron hand successor chapter, they have some pretty cool fluff which I really like. So I'm trying to have a bit of a bionic/ mechanical theme through the army.

The Shadow Falcons is an amazing name for a chapter. I would love to see them, I'm thinking lots of jump packs? if you get a thread going or any pics then let me know mate. It sounds like you have some great projects on the go

Currently working on a razorback and terminator assault squad. I was given these cool resin bases by boss drachenfels, a friend of mine. I hope these super cool bases really help the squad stand out.

Those power weapons look great mate! I'm also looking forward to seeing your termies on those bases. Should be good!

Nice color scheme, and they have an interesting back history.

When I first looked at these my reaction was well painted, but WOW that is bright. Having looked at all of your pics I have to admit I am liking the paint scheme. You are doing a great job. Can't wait to see some terminators and more vehicles/dreads in this scheme.

@wulfbrigade. I love your Shadow Falcons chapter mate! I really like the contrast of the dark purple and bone white colours, what's next? My Termies will be "stuck in Termies" I just think the models look so cool, in the future they may even ride in a Storm Raven!!!

@Jehan-renzor, Yeah I really like the SoM back story and fluff. I have tried to show it through the army with bionic limbs, the tech marine ect. I'm pleased you like them to I will try and keep the iron hands link strong.

@Tressel, I must admit they are bright but as an army I'm pleased with the look. Soon I will post an army shot after a couple more things are done. There will be more to come for sure.

You should scratch build a Teleport Homer and Teleport CC Termies right into his commanders face!!

Nothings worse than CC termies tying up a unit all game long. Or killing your unit in a turn or two.

Hi whalemusic, here is a pic of the shoulder pads. I have ordered a few batches of these now and I must say the quality varies. The first batch I ever ordered I must say were very good, they were clean and crisp and the plastic was almost transparent. This batch was not so good, you can see a few rough spots and the detailing is a little lost around the skulls. In general I am still pleased with them but I think a lot depends on the casting and the plastic/resin mixture they use. I wont claim they are fantastic quality, but at the end of the day they are SoM shoulder pads. I suppose I would say I don't mind that they are not amazing quality, because they are still fairly unique SoM shoulder pads.

Hi mate. yeah thanks I'm pleased with them so far. I have not been able to source any SoM Termie shoulder pads. I will detail them out with purity seal ect though.

The dude that does the power armor pads makes termi sized ones. I'm sure he could make you some pretty easy.

Those are gonna be epic, cant wait to see em painted.

Hi whalemusic360. Yeah I did consider contacting them about making SoM Termie shoulder pads. However at this time it seems like a bit to much cost and time. Don't get me wrong of course I want my SoM to look as nice as I can make them but I also would like them done to battle with. In the future I'm sure I will source some Termie shoulder pads and make a really special unit. The trouble is I have soooo many things I want to add, I dont want to get caught up in one squad for ages and ages. I think we all do that and end up with a kind of hobby "writers block" I find its always good to have a goal to paint to. Mine is a show down with Boss Drachenfels Orks. We both want a fully painted battle with these armies and are working hard to get our forces done. So yep there will be SoM Termie pads latter but right now I am really looking to get 1850 pts done.

Hi Barksdale, yeah all the thunder hammers will be painted that chrome look on the veteran. I am pleased with how that came out and I think in a whole squad it sill look nice. Here is a pic of them all on their bases
