Personally I hate drop pod sallys vs my mech lists other then that I love facing anything they got (grav biker lists are actually one of my fav competitive armies to face)

The most I fear about facing SM is facing those veterans. Ever played against one of those 15years and more years of service veterans with SM? The tournament player variation of said player is nasty as gak! They know their army inside out, they know most others armies weaknesses and they exploit it. I never thought I will say "I fear a cookie cutter SM list" like a newbie would play - these days are gone.

Just in general, what do other armys fear when facing C:SM?
I´m pretty sure it´s not the armor save and people probably are not afraid to drown in bodys and massive dakka.
So what gives them a hard time?
If you're space marines fighting space marines, none of them will be scared.

I have never been afraid of coming against C:SM. They are the Jack of All trades Army and don't really excel at anything but aren't necessarily bad at anything either. What makes then tough is the general playing them. If you come up against a general who has taken a variety of units to well complement each other, that is when more than anything you just get really good games. I look forward to playing against sm. They aren't hard but if you make mistakes and the player commanding them knows what they are doing, they can and very much will punish you. However now they have White Scars biker grav gun force/ Centurion grav cannon epically upgraded with everything attached to a libby support. White Scars is without doubt a very competitive army right now and will be for a while, but are they invincible... naw... is it tough... Hell yea.... but you can win this match up you very much are in route to becoming a better general. Centurions are a solid unit but you can maneuver around them. You could move a unit so that only 1 can see and the others would have to move and if they move they half there range and now only 1 can shoot at you. If you have a fast army, you could play to the outer rims of the table and stay out of range and punish them with fire power until they fall and then move in. If you can get into assault with them they become borderline useless as they absolutely suck in close combat. Bikers while they have nice range and good movement distance can still be shot off their pedestals with enough str 5+ shooting. If you run grey knights like me if I ever catch them in assault well they are pretty much dead because hamme-rhand make me str 5 effectively negating their T5. All in all C:SM have gotten some nice additions but by no means are they a scary force to play to someone who knows their army inside and out (through much play-testing) or has a generally balanced list (I personally have play-tested my list about 12-14 times and have made every unit capable of dealing with any unit although of-course some units deal with targets easier, yet keeping a balanced approach) .

C:SM
Scary: No
Dangerous: Certainly so, totally dependent on the person playing it

cent devastator squads have slow and purposeful. So if they move they get to fire all their shots.
