I'm ok with this.

Like Transformers and turtles, these came about AFTER my childhood, so it's (my childhood memories) still safe and sound.

Now, if he tries to do a live action roadrunner ... there WILL be blood.

Only if Christopher Nolan is involved and lack of charactisation, terrible plots.......

Nolan doesn't really have that much trouble with characterization so the first complaint makes no sense and the second point is being is blown way out of proportion as Nolan's movies generally makes sense but often are a little sloppy when it comes to the little details but that wouldn't

be bad enough make the plots terrible just at worst flawed.

Also Michael Bay isn't ruining anyone's childhoods if you like these 80's shows so much you can always watch them again (which you'll probably regret as it's likely no where as good as you remember) no one is forcing you to watch the Bay version.

That had to be the worst decision EVER. In between admitting it's all fiction (by putting it on the science FICTION channel) the majority of their viewers wouldn't turn to a channel with "Science" implied in the name.

I care less about him remaking old shows as much as making a constant stream of terrible movies.

Didn't that happen when somebody realized they could get a tax break by calling it Sports Entertainment instead of classifying it as a Sport? I also imagine the steady decline may be a normal reaction to something going up. There was a real hay day going on there for a bit but like anything what goes up eventually goes down. There will always be fans but at some point the main stream love will recede.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

Nolan's idea of characterisation is taking a character, and taking their iconic traits away.

Yes. I am referring to his Bruce-Wayneman films. Because there certainly was no Batman in any of them.

No detective skills, no martial arts skills, and no intellect.

Not really - Nolan he has, IMO at least, Major problems with characters, especially making them in any way sympathetic or likeable and in particular writing any kind of decent or indeed any meaningful female chraracter.....

His Batman films seem to depend on massive effect sequences and in set pieces to divert attention from the singluar lack of any decent plot - or as noted actual characters

I have sat through four of his fims now and see little value in any of them. the worst of which was Inception which was tedious, badly plotted and terrible in every possible respect... at least Batman had Michael Caine in it.....

I know this is unpopular but I couldn't stand Interstellar.

I know the science was good or whatever but it was far too long and half as interesting as Space Odyssey.

Unlike space odyssey the dialogue is not stark and awkward to represent the slow decay of human emotion but instead is presumably a result of poor directing on Nolan's part and a bad script (every other line was ramming exposition into your gullet.)

I wept for all sci fi when Hathaway's character tried explaining that love was a scientific force so she could meet up with her boyfriend.

I actually didn't enjoy that film either and I found it not as intriuging as Space Odyssey, or many other sci-fi movies.

I found it quite a bore. And not a great movie at all. In my honest opinion.

But Thundercat was quite a bore as a kid.

Thats why I love it when robot chicken does a skit on the thundercats. Its just so damn funny to me..

Transformers sucked, Turtles was amazing. And I don't give a rat's ass about Thundercats. Roll the film!! (So I can ignore it).

Batman isn't supposed to be "likeable", he's just as psychotic as the crazy fethers he goes up against. That's... kind of the whole point.

No-one is ever likeable in any Nolan film I have seen - thats my point.

Thankfully i wasn't a big thundercats fan as a kid, but after the kiddie-fication of ninja turtles i appreciate the dismay. Maybe bay should take some directions from uwe boll, and try to lift his game to that level.
