Bloodborne, Kingdom Hearts, Monster Hunter. 3 of my favourite franchises that began life as Sony console exclusives, with the later 2 being pulled to XB1 for money purposes, and to Nintendo because they want total domination of all japanese gaming markets and MH is one of the very best.

It is all for money purposes: exclusive, multiplatform, ect. The ones listed weren't originally only on PS out of charity. They wanted your money and your mind share and they got it.

Although I am a PS fanboy, I have to agree here. PS+ games for the last 8 months as sucked bad.

Neither set of free games have been especially great lately. Some on each have been decent, but Rocket League is the only really good one (that I haven't already owned). The 360 games have definitely been more interesting than the ps3 ones, and as I've said - for a new player their backwards compat on XBone gives the edge there. XBL's player ranking system and ability to send a friend request later is also better than when PSN has in place right now. I also prefer achievements and gamerscore to trophies, but really - not enough for it to influence anything.

I read a great article explaining what went wrong with PS+ and it made sense. PS+ is TOO GOOD, to the point only indie developers were happy to give out their games for free to build recognition and credit as it were, where other developers, AAA, don't because they can make more money from actual sales. For example, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite was March 2014 on the Vita, and one of the bestselling PSP games (and a multi-million franchise in Japan, a true AAA portable) that was really popular. But Capcom was giving away one of its most popular games ever for nothing, and could have sold it over PSN for nothing.

all for the cost of a yearly subscription. Nevermind the indie games I've also received for free, and it doesn't really compare. I mean, a lot of those aren't cutting edge, but those are nothing to sneeze at.

That and I'm an achievement hunter to some extent. If I love a game, I'll play it into the ground. The thought of leaving all those shiny points behind to switch to PS4 never crossed my mind.

PS4. Had a PlayStation since the original and got into a 360. Hated it over all so went back to PlayStation

Agreed - Most/All of those are great. They're just far less exciting if you bought a lot of games in the 360 era, because you'll already have almost all of them.

Have both and while I sadly don't have the hours to play games as much any more, I don't think either is better. Sure the ps4 runs most games a little better, both look good to be fair and like a lot have said I prefer Xbox live service and free games. Also takes an age for the ps store page to load up most of the time.
Like the Xbox controller more too although the ps controller speaker is very cool at times.

XB1. Nothing against the PS4, I've just always done XB and so have the people I play online with.

Personally I prefer the xbox one, both for exclusives and controller layout. The best option is to get the 500gb model and then buy an external hard drive. I bought a 4tb external for $110 (link below), have plenty of room and it barely costs more than the upgrade to the 1tb console would have.

I realize it is unrelated to the question, but I rarely use the xbone anymore since I do feel PC is a better long term solution and I usually upgrade every 4-5 years which is I believe as often as mid-generation upgrades to consoles. I have 2 xbone controllers connected to it wirelessly for on couch co-op when necessary.
