Not to bash, but a lot of you lose sight on what's good on the field and what looks bad on paper....

I ran a Dread Mob Army from supplement + CAD for AA/SAG and another Deff Dread and went 2-1 at a local ITC tournament. The grenade FAQ will be a welcome change and make the Army stronger. I play whatever looks cool even in competitive play. No craps given. All about tactics and how you use it.

Kommandos. That kommando boss nob is perhaps the coolest looking ork model out there (as is the Kommando w/ Burna). They're not exactly praised as "useful" on the table though.
So I want a unit of Tankbustas instead, but the GW Tankbusta models are pretty underwhelming. I guess the nice thing about being an ork player is that if you don't like them, you're almost supposed to make your own. So I am!

None. It's only the other way round for me. Heldrake would be useful, but I hate the model. Same goes for Dinobots.
Oh, I will probably buy a (renegade) knight soon even though I don't like the look, but it has amazing rules.

Logan Grimnar. For 250 points you get a power fist or a +2 str powersword and a chapter master stat line with eternal warrior. For 30 points less I can trade termie armour for artificer with jump pack, an inferno pistol, extra initiative, str 6 ap 2 mastercrafted at initiative and hit and run. Ouch.

And yes, I know chaos, orks, and nids have it worse.

Ahriman is pretty junk too for his points. Not really a fan of the model either.

Defiler is just bad.

Warp talons.

Possessed are god awful and comparing them to wulfen just blows my mind. Almost the same points but not even close rulewise.

Abaddon isnt that great either.

Demon princes have pretty bad rulewise too.

I wouldn't say I refuse to buy models with bad rules, they just go waaaaaaaay down the list. Possessed is something I want, but they're hilariously expensive right now.

Wait, what? Ahriman, while not great, is comparatively better than many CSM options and got a boost from the draft FAQ, as he no longer needs to roll to hit with Psychic Shriek. Daemon Princes is maybe our strongest codex card.

Grim Dark Angels Interrogator-Chaplain

A Protoss colony world

For my Dark Angels, I have little interest in Asmodai. I like the model pretty well and might get it just to run as a standard Interrogator-chaplain or to complete my DA special character collection (he's the only one I don't have), but not anytime soon.

For my Tau, it would have to be either Vespid Stingwings or Aun'shi. Both have cool models but absolutely crap rules.

For my Daemonkin, I'd probably say Khorne Berserkers. I like the models pretty well, but their rules are laughably bad. I might get some for casual games though.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

Well if you want me to compare it internally, then for 10 points less I gain cavalry rule, 2 fenrisian wolves, same save, extra t, re rolling to hit in cc, and str 6 ap 2 mastercrafted at initiative, rending.

I do not own flash gitz. I proxy them, they fail me, I buy other stuff. I have seen the kit and models they are amazing.

Kommandos, finecast costs too much to replace the cybork boyz of old I use for kommando proxies.

I have one NIB mek gun. The idea of artillery in this game is just boring and for the most part my friends don't use it I don't use it. It is a nice kit though.

I have a Gorkanaught, I love him, he sucks.

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

I have many of these models, I field them sometimes in fluffy games as well.

Ahriman I do use regularly, I guess just call it disappointment instead I guess. If he had a spell familiar I would be happy to pay the 230 points.

Electropreists. :( Omnissiah they are gorgeous models but they're just so expensive points wise for what they do and they want to be in hordes. I got two boxes of them from the wife as she noticed I didn't have any and she knows I'm abit of a completionist but I think that's all I'll ever have.

I see some hate for the DW Terminators and I don't get it. They're ARGUABLY the best thing we have for Deathwing at the moment. AP3 S6 at Initiative, if you bunch them up they get T5, Storm Shields, and can make a single attack at S8 AP2. Throw them in a Landraider with a Chaplain or Libby with Interromancy for extra funzies.

Also, in the rare case you see CSM, they become AP2 at Initiative

Helltalon bomber.

I love the model, its like the hellblade, but bigger, it's surprisingly big in person! Though its +150pt, 10/10/10 and only has a limited amount of bombs, which you have to purchase. Insult to injury, all the bombs are anti infantry, which my renegades already provide much better. Due to it's horribly light armor, any bolter on the ground could take it out, so your going to be jinking all the time and not dropping bombs, or just dead.

It's also insane expensive when it comes to price tag.

Arvus lighter is another model I want, but its super expensive and pretty useless. It's got no guns, and is basically just a flying transport.

I don't know if they're the best unit, but they're definitely up there for these reasons. The only reason they could be at all considered "Bad" is because of their points cost, but that just makes them over-costed, not bad.

Nobz. It's a unit that I love the versatility of, and there's a lot of fun in building them. But good god do they suck, you're basically buying two boyz for the cost of three, except they also die out right if you get hit by a str 8 weapon. A nob with a power klaw actually costs more than a Meganobz!
